Chapter 9

Bambi's P.O.V

We were both just laying in the bed, my head was on his chest, the blanket covered us and his body warmth kept me warm. I wanted this to be a daily thing. Us being able to lay in bed like this.

But it can't be. I don't do relationships.

Dallas was running his hands through my hair as we stared at the ceiling. My breathing was back to normal and I still felt the butterflies.. No strings attached though.

"That was nice." He smirked.

"Yeah." I softly whispered.

"You good doll?" He asked, looking down at me.

"Mhmm, just tired." I said, softly smiling.

"Then go to sleep, I got you." He whispered, kissing the top of my head. I felt the butterflies in my stomach multiply but I closed my eyes, nuzzling my face into his bare chest.

I quickly fell into a deep sleep, warm, tired, and comfortable.

Dallas' P.O.V

Once she fell asleep I decided to close my eyes and try to sleep, which I did. I woke up around 1pm and Bambi was still asleep. I crawled out of the bed, got dressed and walked downstairs, grabbing my jacket and grabbing my pack of cigarettes.

I went onto the porch and lit my cigarette, taking a drag as I spaced out watching the trees move with the wind.

"Dal?" I heard Bambi call from inside.

"Out here doll." I said, exhaling the smoke. She walked out, wrapped in a blanket and it was obvious she just woke up. She sat down on the chair next to me, taking my cigarette and taking a drag before handing it back.

She laid her head on my shoulder and we silently sat there, passing the cigarette back and forth until she broke the silence.

"It's cold." She whispered, hugging the blanket around her tighter.

"Maybe because it's winter and you are only wearing a blanket." I chuckled, wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

"Wow, that's crazy. I never thought of that." She said sarcastically, nuzzling herself into me. I chuckled, stomping my cigarette out before wrapping both my arms around her and tightly hugging her, hoping to warm her up slightly.

I felt her nuzzle her face into my chest and I smirked, looking down at her.

"Comfortable?" I snickered. She nodded, sighing as she wrapped her arms around me. I picked her up, making sure the blanket still covered her and I carried her inside, setting her on the couch before I walked into the kitchen, looking for hot chocolate or something.

I found a random box and grabbed a packet, grabbed a tea kettle and put some water in it before I poured the powder into the cup. I quickly made some hot chocolate and gave her the mug, sitting next to her on the couch.

"Thanks." She softly whispered. I nodded, grabbing the remote as I leaned back into the couch. I turned the television on, finding a random movie and wrapping an arm around her shoulder.

She leaned into me, holding the mug with both hands as she nuzzled into me. I ran my hands through her hair as I spaced out, watching the movie.

After a while I got bored of the movie and I looked down at Bambi as she watched the movie, kissing the top of her head.

I sighed, laying my head against the back of the couch and I closed my eyes. Without even trying I quickly fell asleep.

Bambi's P.O.V

I looked up and saw him sleeping and I softly smiled, placing my hot chocolate on the coffee table. I leaned back into his arms, cuddling up with him. I felt like he was making me soft and he was becoming soft too. I just have to remember no strings attached.

I kept thinking about everything and my eyelids became heavy so I closed my eyes as I got comfortable and fell asleep.

~Time Skip~

I woke up to Dally running his hand through my hair.

"Morning." He smiled, his voice was deep and husky like. I'm not going to lie, it was really hot.

"It's afternoon." I teased, laying my head back on his chest.

"Whatever." He sighed. We sat there in silence, just taking in each other's company before there was a knock on the door, breaking the silence.

I groaned, standing up and tightly wrapping the blanket around me as I walked to the door, opening it to see Sodapop smiling.

"Hi Soda." I softly smiled, not being as annoyed.

"Hi! Is Dal here?" He asked.

"Yeah." I sighed, rubbing the sleep out of my eyes.

"Ok, well we are going to the drive-in and we were wondering if y'all wanted to come." He smiled.

"Sure. What time?" I asked.

"It starts at 8 so 3 hours." He said.

"Ok. We'll be there." I softly smiled. He nodded, smiling as he walked off and down the hallway, and turned around the corner. I closed the door, turning around and Dallas was behind me. I jumped, gasping slightly.

"What the hell Dallas!" I said, putting my hand over my chest and almost dropping my blanket.

"Sorry doll." He smirked, wrapping his arms around my waist.

"What are you doing?" I chuckled.

"Nothing." He mumbled, kissing my neck.

"Dal~" I whined.

"Hmm?" He hummed, kissing my jaw.

"We need to get ready. We are going to the movies." I whispered.

"Yeah in three hours." He chuckled from the back of his throat, still kissing my neck.

I sighed, wrapping my arms around his neck. "Fine."

Everything went by so quickly and now I was laying in my bed with him, breathing heavily as the blanket was covering both of our bare bodies.

"Now we have 2 and a half hours to get ready." He whispered, kissing my head. I nodded, burying myself under his arm and cuddling up with him. He continued to kiss my head, running his hand through my hair.

We laid there for around another half hour before I decided to crawl out of the bed, wrapping a blanket around me again.
