It's been two years since my dad went. My mom doesn't talk about him still, but I know she was planning to leave him before that bullet went through his chest. I barely knew him after all i was only three years old. Mom still holds her stomach when she sees a picture of him. Me on the other hand I just think of what could have been. My mom now had two kids Myla and Thayer and a husband Ray.

We lived in Oregon in a small town almost twenty miles north of Salem near the state boarder. It seemed like it rain almost everyday. Trees from the Washington state covered much of the area. I stared up at the ceiling as these thoughts rumbled through my mind.

A burning smell filled my nose. I sprang out of my bed into the hallway to see what was burning. It was just Myla curling her blonde hair. She had just turned 13. " What the hell Myla!" I said walking in the bathroom and unplugging the curling iron. " WTF Amya I need it to have more volume." She said snatching the plug out of my hand and plugging it back in. " Ahhhh forget it. Your so difficult. You don't even need volume. You will always have a flat head." I said just before leaving. She slammed the door as I saw Thayer come walking out of his room. " Hey," I said as I passed him. " Um hey Thayer!" I said again. He kept on walking with his head faced down. " Ass." I mumbled.under my breath. I walked back into my room and closed the door shut behind me.

I walked over to my closet and

looked up and down. Scanning for something to wear. Finally I found a baby blue long sleeve shirt and some jeans. I got dressed and grabbed my black converse shoes and black rain coat and left my room.Myla still hadn't come out the bathroom, but she had left my toothbrush outside the door. I looked at my phone " Oh crap it's 7:46!" I grabbed my backpack and toothbrush and sprang down the stairs and out the door.
