"Psssst. Hey. (Y/N). Are you awake?"
You sighed, turning to Ditch. "I am now. What is it?"
"Do you think she's thinking about me right now?"
"...Ditch."
"Yeah?"
"I'm thinking about you going to sleep."
"Well, that's a bit creepy, don't you thi-" He was cut off by a pillow to the face. "Sheesh, moody. Fine." He rolled over.
"...Ditch."
"...Yeah?"
"...Can I have my pillow b-" You were interrupted by a pillow to the face. "...Touché."
Ditch rolled back over to face you. "I heard Dante's is gonna be packed tomorrow. Something about some big town party or whatever for the Summer Solstice. You thinking what I'm thinking?" He grinned.
"Pickpocketing?" You smiled back, holding your hand out to him.
"Pickpocketing." He took your hand, initiating a little secret handshake you both made up when you were younger.
And, with that, you were asleep.
Until the morning.
Ditch woke you up by flicking your nose and grinning in your face. "Mornin', sunshine. Get enough sleep?"
"Never." You grimaced and rubbed your nose, reaching up to flick him back. "Jerk."
He snickered and pulled you out of your little pallet on the floor. "C'mon! It's eleven o'clock, people are gonna start flockin' to Dante's in about an hour! That's plenty of time for you to get ready or whatever."
"How the hell are you already dressed?" You stood up and stretched.
"I woke up six hours ago."
"I'm convinced you're not a real human being."

You were still sipping your coffee out of a flask when Ditch dragged you out of the hideout and into the streets of Ramshackle. He seemed a bit more excited than usual.
"What're you so chipper for? Is your little girlfriend gonna be at Dante's, too?"
"I hope so. I just love to see her all pissed off and aggressive. It's so ho-"
"Hey hey, okay, cool your tits." You shuddered. "Spare me the details of your weird fantasies."
"My fantasies are perfectly normal."
"No. No they're not."
"Don't kink-shame me!"
"I'll do whatever I want, dummy." You grinned at him.
"You're lucky we're close, y'know that?" He rolled his eyes, but flashed his signature toothy grin back to you as you reached Dante's.
There was a line, to say the least. A long one. It even went outside of the building.
Jackpot.
You and Ditch hurried into the establishment, already beginning to pickpocket the people in line as well as the regular customers mingling throughout the room. Eventually, you figured your pockets were about as full as they could be while remaining inconspicuous, and you went to reconvene with your partner in crime.
Only to find him with some brunette who looked like she just got out of a fight. She seemed angry. Ditch, on the other hand, seemed absolutely delighted. He snaked his arm around her shoulders, giving her a... Flirtatious look? Honestly, it was hard to tell. Ditch never really flirted with people often.
