Velgrynd stood nervously in front of Rimuru. Her heart was beating so fast that she thought it might burst out of her chest. She had been in love with him for so long, and she couldn't keep it a secret any longer. The thought of being rejected terrified her, but she knew she had to tell him how she felt.
"Rimuru, there's something I need to tell you," she said, trying to keep her voice steady.
Rimuru turned to face her, his gold eyes gazing at her intently. "What is it, Velgrynd? Is everything okay?"
Velgrynd took a deep breath and looked up at him. "I...I love you, Rimuru," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
There was a moment of silence as Rimuru processed her words. Velgrynd felt like she was going to faint, the tension was unbearable.
"Velgrynd, I..." Rimuru began, but then he paused, seeming unsure of what to say next.
Velgrynd's heart sank. This was it, the moment of truth. She had opened up her heart, and now it was up to Rimuru to decide whether to accept or reject her.
But then Rimuru smiled at her, a warm, genuine smile that made her heart melt. "I love you too, Velgrynd," he said, reaching out to take her hand in his.
Velgrynd's eyes widened in shock and joy. She could hardly believe what she was hearing.
"You do?" she asked, tears welling up in her eyes.
Rimuru nodded, his fingers lacing with hers. "Yes. I've been meaning to tell you for a while now, but I wasn't sure how you felt about me."
Velgrynd let out a sob, throwing herself into Rimuru's arms. "I feel the same way, Rimuru. I've been in love with you for so long, but I was too scared to tell you. I didn't know if you felt the same way."
Rimuru pulled her closer, his embrace strong and comforting. "I do, Velgrynd. I love you more than anything," he said, his voice soft and tender.
Velgrynd felt like she was in a dream. The man she loved more than anything had just confessed his love for her too. It was almost too good to be true.
But as she looked up into Rimuru's eyes, she could see the truth in his words. He truly loved her, and nothing in the world could ever change that.
From that moment on, Velgrynd knew that she and Rimuru would be together forever. They had each other, and that was all they needed.
