Tzuyu was humming along the highway in her car. She looked at the time and it was a few minutes after 5. She glanced at the seat next to her and smiled at the thought of seeing Sana's smile when she gives her the bouquet of flowers.
Out of nowhere she saw a car coming fast in her direction and she turned the steering wheel to dodge the oncoming car. She swerved to the left and saw the car run off the road and crash into a nearby lamppost.
"What the fuck" she shook her head and drove away, for some reason she felt like she should just get home. She parked the car in the driveway and turned to grab the bouquet but noticed they were gone.
"Huh?" she scratched her head. She looked under the seat and in the backseat but there were no flowers there. Did I forget to buy them? But I could've sworn I had it here just now... She looked at the time, Oh well whatever, Sana's probably waiting for me so we could get dinner. She grabbed her coat and her satchel and locked the car.
She walked up the steps and opened the door. "Hey babe, I'm home" she said as she hung her keys behind the door and put her coat on the coat hanger and she left her shoes on the small rack and grabbed her slippers.
"Babe? Are you home?" She asked as she walked further into the apartment. Sana usually answered her if she was home but she got no response. "Sana?" she said as she walked into the kitchen. "There you are, I thought you weren't ho-" she dropped her satchel when she saw her wife leaning against the counter, clutching her phone in her hand and full on sobbing.
"She's been in an accident. Mina, she's- she's.. They said she's-" Sana could barely breathe and form a coherent sentence.
"Baby, what's wrong? Who's in an accide-" Tzuyu tried to touch her but she couldn't. Her hands passed through Sana like air. She gasped and took a step back. She looked at her hands and then back at Sana who was still crying on the phone. "Sana?" she called out to her and tried to touch her again but still couldn't.
What the fuck is going on? Sana had ended the call and put the phone down and moved to walk out of the kitchen. "Sana, I-" she paused when she felt Sana's body pass right through her. What the fuck.. This has to be a bad dream and I'm going to wake up at any minute..
She followed Sana in the living where she found the woman curled up on the couch still sobbing. She sat next to her, "Baby, I don't know what's wrong nor why am I having this nightmare but I'm here.. Please" she tried once again to touch her but she couldn't. She was getting upset.
Suddenly the front door opened and Mina walked.
Tzuyu stood up, "Mina! Please help me!" she said but Mina walked through her and knelt beside the couch and pulled Sana into her arms.
"Sana, I'm so so sorry" Mina shed a few tears as Sana's cries grew louder.
Tzuyu angrily pulled her hair and groaned. "I need to wake up already!"
Mina moved to grab Sana's shoes by the door and helped her to put them on. "Come on, we need to go" Mina grabbed Sana's phone and purse and helped her up. She walked them through the door and Tzuyu decided to follow to see what was going on. Mina strapped Sana down in the passenger seat. Sana had already stopped crying but she looked so out of it.
Tzuyu slipped in the backseat. She had no clue where Mina was taking them but noticed Mina would now and then glance worriedly at Sana who was just staring expressionless out the window.
Far in the distance, Tzuyu saw a bunch of vehicles and flashing red lights. Sana must have seen it too, that's when she sat up. Sana barely let Mina stop the car before she bolted out the door. "Sana wait!" Both Tzuyu and Mina shouted. Tzuyu ran after her while Mina hurriedly parked the car and ran after her too.
