Bartholomew woke up with a mix of excitement and nervousness. Today was the first day of seventh grade, and he couldn't wait to see his friends and find out who his teachers would be. He quickly got dressed in his favorite outfit—a rainbow t-shirt and jeans—and headed downstairs for breakfast.
As Bartholomew sat at the kitchen table, his mom placed a plate of pancakes in front of him. "Good luck on your first day of school, sweetie," she said with a smile.
"Thanks, Mom," Bartholomew replied, taking a bite of his pancakes. He couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement in his stomach. Seventh grade meant new adventures and opportunities, and he was ready to embrace them.
After finishing breakfast, Bartholomew grabbed his backpack and headed out the door. As he walked to the bus stop, he couldn't help but notice the beautiful weather. The sun was shining, and there was a gentle breeze in the air. It was the perfect start to a new school year.
