The War against Humanity

Chapter 1: The Beginning

----Flashback---- (2 years ago)
We were in training for the war against these creatures called the Lumas, they were about our size but weren't the smartest species and their favorite food would be humans so we built a wall but lately they have been evolving into a smarter species and just a short time ago broke our wall and many have died. I'm here with my best friend since we were children Charlotte she has hazel eyes and that perfect marshmallow tan.

We were going through our combat drills and then later on after, we were told to work with a partner this partner was going to work with for the next two years would be tag thrill of our lives filled with sorrow, joy, and anger.

"Hmmph" I bumped into someone and fell the ground while looking for a partner to work with,
"Hey are you okay?"
His voice was gentle and firm at the same time. He stuck out his hand, I grabbed it. I was blinded by the sunlight but I saw a masculine tan man with the sunlight hitting his eyes making them look a light golden brown. He smiled while I was still looking at his features his smile was very warm, this mysterious man felt like summer.
"Sorry where are my manners, my name is Dylan. Do you need a partner because I'm having problems myself heh.."
"Sure you look like a cool guy, I've Been looking for a partner all day...thanks"
"No problem"
"Oh sorry I forgot to introduce myself as well my name Rosemary Bella but most people call me rose."
"Cute name for a cute girl"
My face got beet red, he just laughed
"I'm joking calm down"
"..."
We walked together to the designation we were supposed to walk to when we finally found a partner, after everyone came to the area an announcer came up to the stadium and grabbed the microphone and started speaking
"Thank you everyone for finding a partner and following your orders now I am going to be your Lieutenant, my name is Charles and I'm here to announce the the partner you have chosen will be your partner in Combat training for the next two years."
Everyone was hesitant and whispering to themselves, one guy standing to my right whispers to himself full of excitement
"Finally!, I get to be with her for the next two years...this is my chance to swoon her into my arms and finally let her be mine."
The girl right in front of me was not like him full of excitement, she was more worried like most of the others, what she said was
"Two years??! I can't live that long not with her well die or even worse get kicked out and work out on the farms!"
Now my partner, Dylan was just boldly smiling. He turned to me with his bright smile, had his hand in front of me saying
"Two years, huh well partner are you ready for the time of your life with me"
I grabbed his hand full of excitement as well with a wide smile
"Yea we'll be better than all the rest."
