The Tragic Love

The night before

Regulus black stands in front of his mirror staring in his mirror he's wearing a skirt and sweater, he's looking at himself and continues telling himself "I'm a girl, I'm a girl, I am a girl" over and over. As he stares and mumbles he continues to disassociate, tears running down his face, his throat closing up, his body shaking vigorously, his lungs struggling to breathe, and his heart racing. He finally loses it "Fuck! I'm not a fucking girl!" his fist curls as he pulls his arm back and before he can stop and realize what he's doing his arm punches forward and the glass mirror shatters in front of him and he falls back onto the girl and everything gets worse. His hand is bleeding and his eyes flutter, everything is blurry from the tears that flood his eyes.

"Regina!" he hears his brother Sirius coming up the stairs but the thoughts are so loud in his mind he cant register it " you all packed fo- GINA!!" The older boy rushes to his 'sister' on the ground embracing 'her' as 'she' collapses into him passing out.

Sirius carries Regina to her bed and slowly heals her hand. After a little while the younger wakes up "Si-Sirius".

"Gina" the boy sighs "are you ok? how are you feeling? what happened?".

"I'm ok...." the nervous clear in the younger ones voice.

"What happened.....?" the older voice said gently knowing if whatever it was that caused his sibling to do this that he must proceed with caution.

"Sirius i'm..." He takes a few deep breaths "I'm a boy..."

The older boy takes his brother in his arms hugging him tight "that's okay. How about we go to my bathroom and get this hair cut off and then we can go into my closet and you can pick out whatever you want and I'll call Kreacher into my room to alter the clothes so they'll fit and for school you can borrow some of my old robes that don't fit me anymore"

Taken aback by his brothers response all he can bring himself to do is nod.

The older brother gets up and lends a hand out "come on bonehead lets go make you look like an average whiteboy" he says with a smile.

The younger boy rolls his eyes and laughs "fuck off"

As they walk to Sirius's room he asks "so what should I call you now?"

"hmm" the boy thinks for awhile before saying " how about regulus?"

The older gasps overexaggerate "I love it"

Sirius cuts regulus's hair and they don't finish the fair cut until about 11 o'clock at night and regulus hasn't seen it yet so Sirius grabs a mirror and shows him regulus's face lights up in a smile, a real smile that Sirius hasn't seen since they were young "well? do ya like it?"

"Oh Sirius I love it! I finally for once in my life feel like a person not just a soul inside a meaningless body that helps me to move" The younger boy attacks his older brother in a hug that is filled with love.

They finish everything at about 2:30am but Sirius has 1 more surprise for his newfound brother "have you ever heard of a binder" regulus shakes his head "well its kinda like a sports bra but it'll let you instead of having tits it'll let you have pecs instead so you don't have to where baggy clothes to hide y'know"

"really? I'll have to get one"

"no need, here" Sirius hands his little brother a binder

His eyes light up as he looks at the thing that will affirm his gender even more than he already has. he thanks his brother and they part ways for the night and the both of them go bed happy and sleep through the night for the first time in years. Reggie thinks before he drifts off to sleep of going to Hogwarts and basically starting a new life and everyone will know he is who he is and no one will even know who he used to be.

The next morning regulus wakes up happy and excited he showers, does his hair, and gets dressed. By this time Sirius is awake and ready trying to drag both of there trunks down the stairs. He hears his older brother yell up to him "BREAKFAST IS READY!!"

What regulus is wearing:

"Coming!" As he comes downstairs he sees his mother eyes widen fury filling them Sirius is half convinced there gonna literally turn red and catch on fire. Regulus just chuckles "wow if looks could kill. Luckily they can't." Reg's voice sarcastic and dry as he just walks past her to the kitchen. He can feel his brothers eyes watching in utter shock. Inside to tell the truth regulus is shaking, crying, and can't breath. But he'll be dead before he would show weakness to his mother in this situation.

"REGINA!! What have you done!"

"It's called being trans mom. Plus it's regulus now not Regina."

"ILL CALL YOU BY YOUR GIVEN NAME! How could you be so reckless! Do you have any idea what this could do to the black name!"

"Oh yes I am fully aware of what this could do to the precious black name and honestly fuck the black name! I'm gonna be who I truly am. Who I've ALWAY been!"

"YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO THE BLACK NAME! For your recklessness you are not going to Hogwarts until you you grow out your hair and accept that you are a girl a young girl named Regina Black."

Regulus chuckles "I think not" Regulus just chuckles and starts walking towards the front door grabbing his trunk "come on siri let's go" Sirius immediately listen grabbing his trunk and going to the car.

Once they are both in the car with all of their stuff and Sirius driving Sirius see his little brother out of the corner of his eye curl up in a ball his face in his knees and starts to shake. He can hear his sobs that he's trying to hide. Sirius lightly touches his back to rub and at first regulus flinches but then starts to calm very slowly. After a while Sirius finally talks very gently "That was super brave and I'm proud of you. It's not easy to stand up to our mother I know when I was your age I could have never done even half of what you did today." All regulus does is nod but Sirius knows that he has no energy anymore and that's all he can do.
