"Imani baby I'm sorry. Ain know who that nigga was. I jus thought you was laid up wit sum nigga and it ain't sit right wimme baby jus call me back I miss you." I listened as the voicemail played.
I hadn't spoke to Josiah in 3 weeks because I felt like the way he acted was disrespectful to me, my house, and my best friend.
"Should I call him back" I asked Mel with a questionable look.
"You should call him back but set boundaries with him and tell him wha he needs to do and wha he don't need to do..cause if he ever come in this house on tha bs again ima slap his ass myself" she replied.
I still was hesitant. He really did hurt my feelings. Like how could he come into my house.. into my room..and start tweaking without even letting me explain.
My breath became heavy as the phone rang. Buzzzz.... Buzzzzz....
"Yoooo" i heard Josiah say thru the phone
"I listened to yo voicemail and I'm still mad at you because why would u come in my house doing allat we not even together and you coming in acting like you run shit...don't ever in yo life do some Shii like that again cause next time I promise you I won't talk to you ass ever again and thats on my dead cousin" I let out a sigh as I got that off my chest.
"Imani I'm sorry... I know I was wrong and I promise I won't disrespect you the way I did again baby. You jus don't get it I like you a lot Imani since I met you I knew you we're different so yes I overreacted but that's because I got mad love fa you and I really am sorry" he replied.
"I don't even know what to say to you nomo fam like you did entirety to much but I guess I understand jus a little bit" I tell him truthfully.
"Baby I wanna see you so we can talk about this in person" he says.
"Ummm.. ok where u wanna go cause you can't come to my house nomo till I say so" I replied.
"Fashoo I'll be there in 25" he said and hangs up.
25 girl that ain't even enough time to shave let alone pick out some clothes and do my makeup like ugh.
I hop in the shower and shave quickly as possible. I get out the shower and wrap a towel around me. I stand in the mirror as I do my makeup.
45 mins later....
I put on a cute but casual outfit before my phone starts ringing.
"Wassup" I answer.
"Girl I been outside for like 15 minute cmon" Josiah says.
"Mhm I'll be out ina minute" i say before hanging up.
I take sum pics ina mirror before I put on my shoes and head outside to his car. Once I get in Josiah is starring at me.
"Wha is you lookin at me like tha fa" I blush a little.
"You look good ma" he says.
"Thanks now where are we going" I ask.
"You'll see" he replied before backing out of my driveway.
I go to my instagram to post my pics I took in my mirror.

We ride in the car for about 30 minutes before we pull up to this fancy restaurant. We walk in and stand in line. Josiah walks up to the host.
"Do you have reservation sir" the host asked.
"Yea I gotta reservation fa two under Johnson" he replied.
"Right this way" the host says as he walks us back to a table with rose petals on top of it.
"This is nice" i say as I sit down.
The waitress comes up to us like 2 minutes later and take our drink order. I order a margarita and Josiah get a martini.
"Imani I know I stepped out of line and I really am sorry" he said as he eyes me.
"It's cool I guess" I reply.
"Nah it ain't cool cause you acting dry and I know your still mad.. what I gotta do to make it up to you" he askes.
"Maybe not do Shii like tha" I say rolling my eyes.
"Wont happen again" he says.
"We'll see" I say as the waiter come back with our drinks.
We talked and talked and he explained to me more about what caused him to act the way he did. I set my boundaries and he agreed to follow them. After about an hour we left the restaurant and he dropped me off back at home.
"Text me when u get inside and settle" he says.
"Mhm" I reply as I get out the car and go to unlock my door.
As I go to open the door Josiah pushes the door back closed and I turn around to face him. Our bodies are damn near touching and we are making intense eye contact.
"You forgive me ma" he rasped while still looking into my eyes.
My heart was racing and my breathing was slow.
"Yes" I say breaking eye contact with him.
He lifts my face up by my chin so that our eyes are now locked again. He leans in closer and right as he is about to kiss me he stops.
"Goodnight Imani" he says ( his mouth a inch away from mine).
"Goodnight" I say as he backs away and walks to the car.
I open the door and go straight to my room. It's like 9 at night right now. I go to the bathroom and take off my clothes and I realize how wet I am.
He does something to me, Something no one has ever done before, He makes me nervous, He is unpredictable, He is different.
"NINI" I hear kalani yell snapping me out of my thoughts.
I hurry and put on sum pjs and go to her room to see what she wants.
"Wassgood" I ask.
"Can u help me see if Duke is cheating on me" she asks.
"Yea fashoo I gotchu" I reply.
I go onto my fake account and text Duke. Jus flirting doing the usual. Of course he is being loyal. After we finish doing that I tell her about what happened with Josiah we talk almost all night, then we finally end up going to sleep.
