JUST A SUMMER THING
QUINN WALKER HAS A love-hate relationship with Cousins Beach.
She loves the peace and quiet of Cousins. Last summer, it was the perfect humdrum escape from her chaotic Brooklyn apartment. Quinn much preferred surrounding herself with sand and saltwater over pigeons and taxis. She would take her grandmother's raspberry lemonade over a bitter Blank Street coffee any day. Plus, in Cousins, people actually mind their own business.
Well, most of the time.
Cousins Beach was where she could do things without thinking. She could skip work to grab soft serve with Elle and Dylan or challenge a group of strangers to a game of volleyball or stay up until 3 in the morning toasting marshmallows on the beach.
On the other hand, Quinn hates the occasional rumbling thunderstorms on the coast, the seagulls that manage to steal her fries every single time, and when the old guys at the country club try to hit on her.
But what she especially hates about Cousins Beach is Steven Conklin and how she can't seem to get their last summer out of her head.
