2: Kai The Killer

The first day of senior year has come to such an amazing end. One second I'm butting heads with the one and only Zian Rosolino and the next I'm being strapped up in an all black bulletproof suit.

I glance over at Henry, who is hyper focused on the screen in front of him while the sound of his keyboard clicking fills the room. Apparently Kai wasn't taken too long ago. It had only been a few hours which means Rosolino's son had nothing to do with it.

"here Nora take this, I know you're going to need it," Gavin states before tossing me a 9mm pistol.

I catch it mid air and strap it into place. I turn on my heels and bring my attention back to Henry.

"We don't have all day nerd, I need coordinates  now," annoyance laces my words as they leave my mouth.

"Calm down princess, Kai's at a warehouse 25 minutes east,"

I turn towards the exit and walk with 4 men following close behind. A buzz in my hand draws my attention to my phone. Henry sent me the exact coordinates. I take bigger steps in an attempt to make it to the gate faster.

I strap in my seatbelt and pull my car out while the guys split into 2 cars parked behind mine.

"Kai, you better not be fucking dead," I mumble as the iron door slides open and the guards let me through.

I step out of the car and get faced with an overwhelming feeling of dread. The warehouse is old and rusty. The weeds and bushes are overgrown and most of the windows are broken and cloudy.

"Russo, I want you to check the perimeter after we go inside. Make sure no one tailed us" He nodded and made his back to the car to grab the drone.

The inside was even worse than the outside. A look of disgust was plastered on my face as I glanced around. Definitely something Ezra Rosolino would use as a cover up. I'm pulled out of my thoughts by a little squeak from the stairs. My hands hold my gun out as my eyes scan the area slowly.

I signal one of my men to check before moving myself further into the disgusting building. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a man slouching in the corner in an attempt to catch me by surprise. He slowly moves forwards but I turn around and plant a bullet right between his eyes.

I watch the life slip from his eyes as his body falls on the ground with a big thud. I move towards the dead body and crouch down. "damn, you were cute too," a little giggle escapes my lips.

"Nova, upstairs now! Everything's clear but you gotta see this!" I hear Dante scream from the second floor. I slowly get up and walk over the body. I pace up the stairs and find the three of them circled around a chair. One small look around the room tells me something went horribly wrong. One, two, three, four men lay dead on the floor.

I move closer to the chair and soon see the face of the person tied to it.

"Who the fuck are you?" The question slips out a little too easily at the sight of the man. He's bloody and bruised. Blue and purple covers his cheek bones and blood drips from his eyebrow and lip.

The man lets out a slight chuckle before spitting blood on the floor barely missing my shoe. One of my men grabs his neck and screams in his face demanding answers. I watch impatiently before shoving the barrel of my gun down the mans bloody throat. "You could tell me who you are and where Kai is and I might consider giving you a quick death, the choice is yours," I whisper

His eyes widen and I slowly slide the barrel out of his mouth. "Kai, he's not here," He said with a groggy voice.

The man went on to explain how Kai tried to escape and almost succeeded, but Zian showed up with a few men and took him away before he could run.

A small laugh escaped from my throat and I couldn't help but smile at Kai's attempt at escaping. They don't call him Kai the killer for no reason. As for Rosolino, I'd deal with him on my own.

"grab him, we gotta bring him back to dad," I say gesturing to the man still tied in a chair.  I walk out of the room and out of the building.

At least he's not dead, Zian might not have the same luck.
