(AN: We all know what that means~! Heehee! :D)
"The World Over Yonder...?" Arisu questioned, tilting her head slightly. "It's where all of the yokai live; trust me, you DO NOT want to go there, Lady Arisu." Onikiri explained. Arisu unsheathed her claws and cracked her knuckles. "I can take care of a few yokai." she insisted. "I did say some terrible things to Tomoe. I need to see him."
'Although, I'm not crazy about apologizing to him, it needs to be done, but no one said I had to enjoy the prospect of it. For once, I've got to swallow my pride.' Arisu thought grudgingly. "Very well, Lady Arisu." the pair of willow the wisps said in unison. How do they do that all the time? The three of them stepped into what Kotetsu explained was the Red Light District in the World Over Yonder. Arisu looked around. 'So this is where yokai live? Hm.' she thought. "Master Tomoe should be in this building here." Onikiri announced after they walked for a little bit. "Stay close to us, Lady Arisu." Kotetsu advised.
Arisu rolled her eyes, but followed the little shrine spirits into the building. They came to a stop in a hallway, outside a sliding door. Onikiri and Kotetsu entered the room to see two yokai geisha pouring sake for Tomoe while he was laying down. "It's only sunset and you're drinking already?!?" Onikiri and Kotetsu exclaimed. Upon hearing the little shrine spirits' exclamation, Arisu's cat ears pricked. She couldn't help but listen in.
"That's right. Now that my duty as a familiar is over, I will live my life as I please." Tomoe replied as one of the geishas poured more sake for him. Arisu balled her hands into fists angrily. "Master Tomoe, we need you to return to the shrine and be Lady Arisu's familiar!" Kotetsu pleaded. "I care not what happens to the shrine anymore. Why don't you leave? You're creating a scene." Tomoe replied calmly.
"Yes, why don't you leave? This is no place for children." one of the two geishas purred cattily, placing a hand on Tomoe's shoulder. Arisu burst in at this. "How can you just sit here and drink! That shrine is your home, isn't it? I thought I had you all wrong, I was even going to swallow my pride and apologize to you, but you know what? I was right! You're letting all of that time you spent caring for that shrine go down the drain! You're being selfish! And here I actually thought you cared about your home. I hate people like you; you're leaving just like my father did. I'm going back." Arisu snapped with her face shadowed. At this point, the geisha left.
Arisu stormed from the room and slammed the door violently behind her. Tomoe looked stung. He didn't realize she came to apologize to him; he felt sort of... Well, bad. That was new. 'She did look genuinely upset.' Tomoe shook his head to clear it. He rounded on Onikiri and Kotetsu. "Why the hell did you bring her here!!!" he snarled. "She said she wanted to see you." Onikiri answered. 'Bringing her here is like a duck bringing its own pot and leeks. A weak looking creature like her surely won't be able to defend herself-' Tomoe's thoughts were cut off by the sound of fighting.Arisu stalked out of the building taking long strides. She didn't even know why she got so worked up. 'I can't believe I was about to apologize to that inconsiderate jackass!' she fumed silently. While she was caught up in her anger, she ran into someone and got knocked on the ground. "Watch where you're going!!!" Arisu snarled violently. She looked up to see three yokai. The first looked like a cat-owl hybrid thing with the eyes and beak of an owl and fur, claws, and paws of a cat, the second had one eye and green skin, and the third one was thin with gray skin, sickly green eyes, and bony hands with sharp gnarled claws.
Arisu got up and brushed herself off. When she tried to walk away, she felt a bony hand lock around her wrist. "Miss, I understand you are the new Land God. Do you mind if I eat you? You look rather tasty." the one with gray skin said in a low raspy voice.
Arisu glared at the yokai with fiery eyes and unsheathed her claws. She yanked her wrist from his grip. "I wouldn't mess with me right now if I were you. I'm in a bad mood." Arisu growled. She revealed her tail and it bristled until it was twice its original size. All three yokai licked their lips in anticipation at the thought of a meal and formed a triangle around Arisu. Arisu cracked her knuckles and smirked, revealing her sharp canines. "Oh, this will be fun." (AN: They're so screwed. Say hello to her demon side. ;) )
Arisu lunged at the one eyed yokai and raked her claws across his face. He yelled in pain and grabbed her wrist. She flipped him over her shoulder. She smirked in satisfaction when she heard his ribs crack. The cat-owl unsheathed his own claws and ran at Arisu with them poised to slash her. He let out a battle cry. Arisu dropped into a crouch and kicked his legs out from under him.
Arisu grabbed his paw and threw him through a wall and into a building; he didn't come back out. The yokai with the gray skin advanced on her with his gnarled claws outstretched. He lunged forward and slashed her right arm. Arisu let out an angry snarl and highkicked him in the temple. Blood flowed from the wound and he dropped. Arisu sheathed her claws and started walking away. Onikiri and Kotetsu rapidly caught up to her.
"Lady Arisu, we heard fighting! Are you alright?!" they burst out. "Don't worry about it." Arisu replied curtly. "But your arm is bleeding...." Onikiri trailed off. "It's just a scratch. I'm going home." Arisu stated, picking up her pace. The shrine spirits followed closely. The trio walked together in silence. Arisu noticed that no matter how far she walked, she couldn't find a way back. "Why don't we go back? You must make Tomoe your familiar. Then he'll have to do what you say." Kotetsu remarked.
Arisu looked at Kotetsu. "He'll have to do what I say? How exactly do I make him my familiar?" she asked, her eyes sparking with interest. "You have to kiss him on the mouth!" Onikiri replied cheerfully. Arisu cursed under her breath. While the two willow the wisps were singing something about sealing the familiar contract and Tomoe being her servant forever, Arisu ran and hid.
"I am NOT kissing that jerk!" she hissed. Arisu heard the spirits calling for her. She ignored it and walked on.
