Worker Drones, a creation of JCJenson in SPAAAAACEE, a largescale private owned company whose main services are manufacturing various things, from branded items (**coughs** pens **coughs**) and civilian items to autonomous robots called "drones," both civilian and "military". Drones more often than not were looked down upon and treated like trash that could just be thrown away or shipped off to be dismantled. However, we will not be focusing on earth, we will be looking out into the stars to a Copper 9, a terrestrial exoplanet that was colonized by JCJenson and used primarily for mining operations. Unfortunately, though, now a day, Copper 9 is a frozen wasteland covered in snow, the trees are frozen over and covered in ice. The question is, how did Copper 9 end up as a frozen wasteland, well to find out we're going to have to go back in time, before a terrible disaster occurred and turned Copper 9 into what it is today.

Time skip: Two decades prior

The camera slowly zooms in on what looks like a large-scale facility with big words on the front the read out "JCJenson" with "IN SPAAAAACEE" right below it in smaller letters, the camera proceeds to phase through the front doors before panning around the facility, showing humans in Hazard suits standing around while worker drones do all the work and heavy lifting, carrying large containers of mined rock over their heads. The camera goes up, and through a observation room before going down a long hallway to a metal door that has a glowing sign that says in big bold letters "Security". The frame slowly moves forward as a worker opens the door to reveal a tall male drone, in a black officer's trench coat that goes down passed his thighs with orangish red stripes around the wrists and on the inside of his coat. Leaned back in a chair with a cable leading from a console into a port in his wrist, the security footage visible on both the monitors on the walls and visible on his visor. The camera switches to the worker to show on a name tag that his name is 'Fredrick' but we'll call him 'Fred' for short.

Fred: "Designation A, the foreman is requesting your presence down in the observation room."

A: "What's so important the foreman is requesting for me personally?"

Fred: "He wouldn't say, only that he needs you to show up personally, and something about plugging into the system."

A: "Of course. Because I'm the only drone here that can properly do such a thing without getting my circuits fried."

Fred nonchalantly nods his head at A's statement, sadly sighing.

Fred: "Yes, well unfortunately worker drones don't have the appropriate hardware to take the heat from trying the interface with the full system."

A let's out an annoyed sigh, a visible frown on his face. The security footage vanishes from his visor revealing his glowing orangish red eyes, he grabs the cord plugged into his wrist and yanks it out. Then proceeds to stand up from the chair and stretch.

A: "Alright, let's get this over with."

Fred and A walk out of the security room heading down the long corridor, passing by a group of worker drones who either wave or smile at their security personnel, who gives a small salute with a smile. They eventually make it to the observation room which is filled with nothing but humans. The foreman is stood in the center looking up at a large screen showing tons of different data and information. He turns around and smirks at the drone, some obvious hints of disgust evident on his face.

Foreman: "Designation A, glad you could finally join us, away from your monitors."

A few of the workers laugh, while others don't. A does spend a lot of time watching monitors, but that's what he was assigned to do while on Copper 9. Can't insult him while he keeps them as safe as possible.

A: "Well, it's not like I have anything else to do, I'm a security drone, it's my job. Now, what was it exactly you need me to do?"

Foreman: "Ah right, I needed you because we've been getting odd readings from the planet's core and the techs want you to jack into the system down there and see if you could figure out the problem."
