Confession (Mingyu x reader fluff)

You've been friends with SVT for almost 7 months now, your apartment is only a few blocks away from their place and you'd usually visit their place for some movie night or just casually hang out, all the members are comfortable around you and you're quiet fond of all of them equally, except for 1 person who's got your attention from the beginning, yes it's none other than Mingyu.

You can't really put it into words of your relationship with him, when you're with the boys you always find yourself loosen up and just talk without any hesitation which shows how comfortable you are around everyone, but when you're alone with Mingyu you somehow feel awkward because you know your heart is beating a little too fast, but you always know how to keep the flow and act like there was nothing going on.

Today is friday and you're about to leave your office when your phone suddenly buzz and shows notification, it's a message from Hoshi

Hoshi: "Y/N, are you still at office? what time you gonna leave? come to our dorm tonight! we have a news, BIG NEWS!"

You: "I'm actually about to leave, 'kay i will come, but what's the news about??"

Hoshi: "You gotta come if you wanna know, can't tell you via text cause it's the biggest news you'll hear"

You: "Ya just give me a sneak peek, you can't just tell me you have big news and make me all dead curious, just a hint, what is it about? SVT's comeback??"

Hoshi: "Just come to our dorm and you'll hear by yourself, not replying to you anymore till you come!"

You:" Hoshi ya, you'll pay >:)", you smile to yourself while your heart is pounding a little, curious about what the news about. You quickly greeted all your colleague and headed home, took a quick shower and go right to SVT's dorm.

You ring the bell excitedly cause you can't wait for the big news, you keep thinking about all the possible things and you find yourself smiling, when you're about to riing the bell once again, the door is opened

Dino: "Y/N you're here"

You: "Dino! i bring some snacks and beers, now let me in and tell me what the big news is", Dino quickly helps to carry the plastic bag and lets you in

Hoshi: "Ya Y/N is hereeee", says Hoshi quiet loud to make sure everyone is alerted of your presence

Everyone stops their thing and quickly greets you, you could see the smile arises on their face when they see you coming, Mingyu is no exception but even though everyone is gathering near you, Mingyu somehow keeps his distance at the back, not trying to be too close

You and the boys open the snacks and beers, chat about everyone's life update, you tell how tired you are with your work but it's the thing that you like doing so even though you're tired you don't hate it, in contrast you actually love it. They're amazed by your persistent and commitment for work, and they actually can relate considering how tired they all are when they're comeback and goes on tours, they'd feel tired as hell but yet it makes them happy

Hoshi, DK, and Seungkwan were the ones who dominated the conversation though other members would also talk from time to time, you were so busy keeping up with everyone that you didn't notice Mingyu was stealing glances of you, Mingyu is sitting right next to Wonwoo and whenever Wonwoo talks you shift your gaze to him, but you caught Mingyu's eyes staring at you and quickly look away, you thought it was just a coincidence or maybe Mingyu was staring at DK (who's sitting next to you) because he was the last person who talked before Wonwoo

After 2 hours hanging out in dorm, you finally rise your curiosity that's been bugging you since you left work

You: "So Hoshi told me there's this big news that he couldn't even tell by text, what is it?"
