It was the first day of Summer break. I wake up from a alarm on my phone going off. I tried to click on the phone to turn it off but it feel down from my night stand to the floor. I let out a sigh. Then I fell asleep again when I could feel a pillow hitting my face hard. "Ow! Come on mom" I groaned. "Come on get up we are moving today, remember?" My mom said as she stresses around my room trying to find her phone.
"Your phone again?" I said. "Yes, ugh where did I put it!" "Did you check the freezer?" "Why would it be in the-" she said as she goes to the kitchen. "Ah here it is" she says.
My suit case was already packed so I took my charger and filled up a bottle of water to keep me hydrated at the long drive there. My mom took the last boxes to the car while my sister is sitting in the car scrolling on her phone while waiting for us. I helped my mom with the last boxes when I felt someone poking my back. I turned around and there was my best friend Isabella. "Juli I'm so sad that your leaving me all alone here." She said as she took out her arms for me to hug her.( Juli is julianas nickname)
" it's gonna be alright, you know we can always FaceTime." I said as I gave her a warm hug and smiled. "Juli come on!" My mom shouted as she was starting the car. "I will text you everyday I promise." I said as I walked to the car. Isabella blew a kiss to me as we were driving out.
Hours have gone by when we were finally there and I was in shock. The house is gigantic and they even had gardeners in the huge garden. My step dad (Christian) were waiting by the outdoor for us. My mom stops the car and gets out the car and gives Christian a hug. I just rolled my eyes at them and got out the car.
"You know you should be more happier for mom" I heard my sister say. I just ignored her and tried to get the suitcase out the back off the car when a butler comes to help me grab it. "Oh, thank you" i looked at him crooked. He gave me an smile. " well it is my duty " he said "Come on in" Christian said as he smiled opening the doors for us. When I came in to the house it was huge.
"Sweetie I have a surprise for you and your sister" my mom said as she drags me and my sister upstairs. "This is your room!" She said as she opens the door. I gasped. I didn't say anything as I walked through the room admiring the fancy stuff that I could have never afford.
"Oh my gosh, your room is so pretty" my sister said as she storms in my room.
" Come on Maggie I will show you your room now." My mother said as she takes her arm around my sister and walks out the room.
I took my phone out my pocked and took a photo of my walk in closet and sending it to Isabella. I walked out to the balcony. When I saw a cute boy in the other big house next to our house. He was lighting a cigarette I could smell the smoke from here. But my phone interrupted the silence. I got a call from Isabella.
"O.m.g you literally have a walk in closet in your bedroom." She said on the phone. "I know right but they are all snobs here they only care about money and it annoys me so much." I said as I sat down on my bed. "Girl are you complaining about being rich?" Isabella said jokingly.
"Mhm" I mumbled ironically.
" Juliana could you come down here please." Someone shouted downstairs.
"Oh I gotta go now luv ya" I said " okay! luv ya to" Isabella said.
I walked down the stairs to see the same cute looking guy I saw at the balcony. My sister stood beside me. "I just want you guys to meet Nicholas I thought because you guys are almost the same age you could get along." Christian said.
Nicholas gave me a little smile as he was looking me slowly up and down.
" Hello I'm Maggie nice to meet you!" My sister said as she shacked her hand with Nicholas.
I just walked down the stairs and walked past him. My mom looked mad at me for ignoring him. I just knew he was checking me out from the behind as I walked to the kitchen to take something to eat. The others were going on in the backyard to show my sister the flowers. I opened the fridge door when I was texting Isabella that they don't even have sandwiches here. When I closed the fridge door he stood right there. " Ah! What are you doing sneaking up on me like that" I shout.
"You know I couldn't see your freckles before but now I see them very clear" He came closer to me making eye contact with me. I push him away. "What's your name? Freckles." He said as he backs off. "And why would I tell you that?" I could hear my mom calling my nickname. "Juli, pretty name" he says as he smirks at me. "It's actually Juliana" I say crossing my arms. I look at him annoyed when my mother, Christian and my sister comes back in. "Juli you must check out the garden it's full of flowers!" Maggie said with a excited smile on her face. "I was planning on Nicholas to show you girls around town today." Christian said. "You were?" Nicholas said confused. "I'm actually very tired today." My sister said as she rubs her eyes. "It's okay then it will only be Nicholas and Juliana." Christian said. I looked annoyed while Nicholas sigh. We both got in his car. The car was so pretty it was dark red and it shined in my eyes.
"I always wanted to drive a car like this" after a few minutes off silence in the car as we drove. "So where are we going?" I asked. "Can I drive now?" "No you have no license and I won't let you ruin my car." He said as his eyes were at the road. "Your driving crazy are you trying to o kill us?" "Then get out" he said as he stops the car. Are you insane you can't stop the car in the middle of the rode." I shouted. "I have things to do and your wasting my time." He says as he looked me in my eyes. "Are you kidding? Okay fine you asshole" I got out of the car pointing my middle finger at him as he drove off. "Shit my phone is dead" i tried to get a drivers attention to give me a ride. And a nice guy offered. "Thank you so much" "How did you even get here?" The guy said as we were driving. "Oh some asshole left me here" "Damn who was it?" "It was a guy Nicholas, my neighbour." I say as I tried to catch my breath. "Nicholas?" "Yeah. Well I'm going wherever you are going. I guess." I said scratching the back of my neck. "Well im going to a party Nicholas is there." He said. "Wait he is?" "Yeah it is no party without Nick" "Nick?" I said confused. "Yeah that's what we call him" After a while we finally got to the party. The guy introduced himself as Lucas. He gave me a drink and I walked around enjoying the party when I see Nick. He's making out with "four girls?!" I whispered to myself. I rolled my eyes. When I walked after him to confront him about leaving me stranded on the road. He eventually turned around I punched him real good on his cheek. "What the hell" he said as he came closer to me. "That's what you get do leaving me stranded in the middle of no where!!" I shouted at him.
