"Kyle? Kyle, wake up!"
Stan's voice flooded the redhead's ears like a river. Something plush was against his skin as he was shaken gently. Cracking his eyes open, blue stared into green.
"You alright, dude? Your skin was cold, so I brought you to bed, but then you started shaking, and I was so worried. You kept saying my name and-"
Stan's worried rant was cut off by Kyle throwing his arms around him. Stan gasped but hugged back nonetheless, holding his friend tightly. Sniffles left his mouth as the redhead buried into the other's neck, no sign of letting go.
"Stan, I was so scared. I thought I had lost you; you were trapped in the building! The fire, I was hurt; I'm sorry! I couldn't get to you!" Kyle sobbed harder, "Please, please! I need to know you're safe; tell me you're safe!"
"I'm safe! I'm safe. Kyle, it was just a nightmare; I'm fine." Stan shushed gently. He would say it forever if it would put Kyle's mind at ease. "I'm not going anywhere. Leaving you isn't an option for me. There's no building on fire, nothing to hurt you for now. It's just us, you and me."
Kyle nodded gently; it felt so real. All of it. Like it was something he had experienced, but he obviously hadn't. Stan's embrace tightened as Kyle's breathing eased. Something was in the air, making it thick. Words that had yet to be spoken lingered. Kyle pulled away from the space in the crook of Stan's neck, allowing the dark-haired male to wipe his remaining tears.
Stan's hand remained on Kyle's cheek, although the tears had long dried. Gently, the older tilted the redhead's face up slightly. Stan began to lean in, Kyle following suit as his eyes flickered from Stan's eyes to his lips.
"Stan I...."
Kyle could feel Stan's breath against his own as he spoke. They were only an inch or 2 away.
"Do you want to do this? To kiss me."
"I think... I do..."
Kyle's eyes fluttered closed as the final sentence passed his trembling lips. Their lips brushed past each other, and Kyle could feel electricity shoot through his body.
Suddenly, the door swung open, with Craig standing in the frame. The two quickly pulled away from each other, faces red as they both stammered.
"Jesus fuck. You both can continue your little makeout sesh later. Ike is here."
"It wasn't a makeout!" Stan quickly called out, but Craig simply flipped him off. With a sigh, Stan looked back at Kyle and frowned slightly. "Are you sure you're doing okay? If things are getting to be too much for you, we pick this back up another day," he mumbled, grabbing Kyle's hand.
Kyle nodded and looked at their intertwined hands. "I'm sure, Stan."
"Okay," Stan smiled, and the room was silent again, "We're also going to talk about what almost happened later."
Kyle nodded quickly before speedwalking out of the room, red-faced.
Once downstairs, the duo saw Craig whispering to Tweek, a smirk on his face, his thumb pointing towards the steps. The blonde quickly shushed his lover when realizing that Stan and Kyle were standing, staring at them.
"I think Ike is going to come out of the car soon; maybe he's just getting prepared? I would want to, too; I mean, meeting a long-lost sibling?! Man, that's too much pressure. I don't think I could handle it. Oh my god, Craig, what if I have a long-lost sibling?! What if-"
"Breathe, honey. Breathe. I hear you, but you need to breathe. How did Ike even get here anyways?" The Peruvian man asked, looking out the window. "Wait, where have I seen that car...? Wait... That's my car! How the hell did he get my-" Craig froze as the car doors opened and a girl with short light red hair covered by a blue hat appeared.
