"Congratulations, Amory!"
Everyone was smiling and clapping. I won! It's just an easy competition but still we worked hard for this award. Being a ballerina is not easy. I smiled awkwardly because they're clapping nonstop, it was so embarrassing to stand in front of them and just smile!
"Thank you, everyone!" I shouted while smiling so they can stop clapping na.
Inayos ko ang gamit ko kasi my mom texted me na malapit na siya, she's the one na susundo sa'kin kasi may meeting pa raw si Daddy later. I actually understand their busy days so hindi na bago for me na wala sila today to watch my performance.
"Mommy!" I shouted, too excited to hug her.
My mom opened her arms to hug me too. I felt her warm and tight hug, uy it was such a long and tiring day.
"Oh my baby, I'm so sorry I didn't come-" I cut her off.
"Mom, it's okay! I totally understand, hmm? What's more important is, you're here now picking me up." I gave her a sweet smile.
"Aw, thank you baby. Mom loves you so so much!" And she hugs me again.
Besides, I don't want my parents watching me while dancing! Mahihiya lang ako and who knows, baka mamaya matapilok pa 'ko ro'n kasi they're watching! It's not like I'm not proud of myself but I'm just too nervous that I can't do better in front of them and just make them feel disappointed.
"I love you too, Mom." I replied.
"O siya, let's go home before mag-dilim." Binuksan niya ang door ng car and pumasok na 'ko.
While she's driving, my friends chatted me and greeted me a congratulations, mamaya ko na sila rereplyan because my eyes became heavy. Super pagod din kasi me that's why nakatulog ako while nasa byahe. When I woke up, naka park na ang car namin sa garage. I barely see our house, it was super dark!
"Let's go, honey." My mom opened the door for me.
"Mom, bakit ang dilim ng house? Wala ba tayong kuryente?" I asked, curious.
My mom just pulled my arms and inalalayan ako to walk, sa sobrang pagod at nanlalambot ang mga tuhod ko ay iika ika na me mag lakad. Binuksan ni Mommy 'yung door ng house and kahit isang light, walang nakabukas, what's going on ba? I'm scared sa dark!
"Mom-"
"Congratulations, Amory!" Everyone shouted.
Napatalon ako sa gulat nang biglang lumiwanag sa paligid and may mga pumutok na confetti. I saw our kitchen, it was full of my favorite foods and snacks! My closest friends are here too, 'yung isa nag vivideo, 'yung isa nasigaw pa rin, 'yung isa pumapalakpak, and may isa naman na kumakain na.
"Congratulations baby, I'm super proud of you." My mom gave me a warm hug again.
"Aw, mom... I'm about to cry." I said, pouting.
They're all teasing me to cry! Lalo lang ako maiiyak niyan e.
"This celebration is boring without me." My dad suddenly appeared.
