BACKSTORY OVERVIEW ⋆ Lei Zheng Wei was born in Guangdong and raised in Zhengzhou, China. His immediate family consists of himself, his parents and his younger sister, Meihua.
Similar to his Pikachu nickname, Zheng Wei grew up as a very energetic kid, which eventually rubbed off on his sister. The Lei siblings were always doing something somewhere where they gained their childhood nickname 'Owls'.
When their father got a job in South Korea, the Lei family were off somewhere new. Luckily for Meihua, it gave her the opportunity to go to a performing arts school while Zheng Wei was just happy to be there.
However, with his mother's encouragement and his love for performing, auditioning at SM was Zheng Wei's first independent move in his new home. He easily charmed the staff and showed his talent, being easily accepted.
The Lei siblings were right where they want to be. Now, Meihua is known as a prodigy actress and Zheng Wei is the charismatic idol.
