As promised, here's the next one shot ~
There's very little information about Cassius (practically none), so I took some creative liberties. This story is the third instalment of the 'Slytherin Sisters' series and centres around the 3rd sister: Mellie. There were some comments on the last instalment about confusion over the family etc so I've made a family tree which is attached to this chapter ~
I hope you enjoy reading it ~
Comments are very much appreciated

Some people, my dorm mates included, struggled to understand the bond I shared with my sisters. They didn't understand why, after spending our entire holidays together, we spent most of the journey to Hogwarts together. I suppose it made sense. Most people with siblings wanted that space and Hogwarts certainly gave them the excuse to get the space. But I doubted that many of them could understand our relationship, that the 9 of us were the ones keeping one another together, keeping our complicated and wonderful family together. From the very beginning, before the friends, before Calliope had joined her heart with Terence's, all we had was one another. The only certainty we had was, despite who came and went, we would still have one another.
As was tradition, for the train ride to Hogwarts where I was set to begin my sixth year, the 8 of us clambered into a single carriage, squishing into the benches. I found myself boxed in between Psi and Euta as the conversation drifted to Polly. Calliope voiced her concern, as she always did, at having to leave our youngest alone in a manor with a neglectful birth mother and an even more neglectful father. Leaving Polly was always the hardest part of the academic year.
Once we reached the halfway mark of the journey, Terence appeared in the open door of our carriage. He greeted us all with a smile, taking his time to address us all one by one before he extended a hand towards Cali. She didn't hesitate to accept it, letting him draw her to her feet. And as she did each time, she hesitated in the doorway, reluctant to leave us and only when Clio reminded her - rather dryly - that we would all set off to find our friends, she waved us all goodbye. Terence led her away, tucking Calliope under his arm as they went. It was all the prompting we needed.
One by one, we vacated the carriage, parting ways and heading off in search of our dormmates. I found my friends tucked a few carriages down. When I reached the open door, they rolled their eyes knowingly but ushered me in. Taking to the empty seat, I crossed my legs at the ankle and listened as they caught me up on everything that we hadn't already talked about in our letters. I listened, laughing rather incredulously, as one of my friends recounted the story of how her brother had managed to charm their poor family cat to burp bubbles.
"Hang on," I said as I rose to my feet, hearing the voice of the trolley lady as it carried down the corridor. "It's my turn, right? What's everyone having?"
They rattled off their orders and I committed it to memory. Not that I needed to. I was fairly certain I knew it off by heart; it was the standard order for each of these train journeys. As I set off in search of the trolley, my dormmates called out their gratitude.
I walked a short distance down the carriage and joined the small crowd that had congregated around the trolley. Waiting patiently, I took the time to check my nails; I had changed their shape just last night, choosing to go for an almond shape over my usual short squared nails. The shape was an adjustment, but I liked them.
Reaching the front of the queue, I smiled at the older witch who addressed me, "Hello, dearie."
"Hello," I returned the greeting with a warm smile. Surveying the trolley, I asked, "How are you?"
