"I-I don't want to be human!" A small voice yelled after what just happened

Her life isn't perfect and it's weighing down in her, she feels like she is the glue holding this family together and she feels like her parents don't love her, she doesn't want to die but she doesn't want to live.

So when she was offered a mask, the mask of a cat that was black with blue edges and gold markings with the promise of an escape, a break, she would've been stupid to say no-looking back it was stupid to say yes but hindsight is 20 20 after all so

oh well you can't change the past but you can influence the future

So she would put on the mask and turn into a black cat with yellow eyes and she would walk around and chase birds and mice but would never eat them

Then things at home and school put more and more pressure on her til she felt like she was gonna snap, so she slipped up and yelled when she though no one was around and as a cat, "I-I don't wanna be human!"

It felt freeing to express her feelings without fear that someone would heat her
that freeing feeling was replaced by shock and confusion when something fell off her face,
a mask but not the cat mask, no. It was a human mask, the mask seller snatched it and bounced away, she tried to make the most of it and get it back but it was no use and she became a cat permanently

it wasn't fair
it's not fair
why did this happen
She misses her mom and her dad

they looked so sad for the first few weeks but then a cat disguised as her showed up and took her place

She feels sick as she watches as someone else lives her life, that should be her in there, in her own skin and eating dinner with her family and not this, not being stuck out in the rain and hungry.

She felt angry, she is angry at God, at the imposter, at her family, at her teachers, at her old friends, at the masker seller, at herself... its mostly at herself

so not knowing what to do she runs, and runs and runs and ends up in a green field that she's never been to before, she was busy running and doesn't know how she got here...

she swore that she was in a town near a farm and not in the middle of nowhere

what the hell?

She looks around and in the distance sees a blue blur and is confused, what could be that fast?
Then it rapidly approaches her and she yeowls and freezes in fear and puff up her fur and she didn't want to die, she closes her eyes and braces for the impact.
