Chapter 10

My eyes widen and my hands trembled

'This can be true, this can't  be happening. My one and only brother,my family only family ' i muttered to myself

Mom let out a loud cry and fell off the chair  everyone stood up and dad ran to her side .She called her name and picked her up and laid her on the couch . I followed behind with blurry eyes iwanted to say something but i couldn't.
My whole body was shaking

Mrs Slattery kept talking to her and consoling her i just stood there doing nothing i was hard to believe

He promised he will be back for me, he said he come back. My legs gave in before i could hit the floor i felt hands grabbing me .

Alex!

I looked up to him with blurry eyes .

"I- I- " i tried to speak but i couldn't

"It's okay ,it's okay"  i cried in his embrace

I looked and saw many relatives crying and then i saw stacey staring at us with hatred she smirked and stood up.

"It is your fault she screamed towards me"her father tried to stop her but he couldn't

"Yes father it's her fault " she screamed again everybody turning to me even  Alex did with a confused look.

" She is the one that make him leave in the first place. You !"

"If that night you haven't done what you did we won't be here crying  , Aunt could have said goodbye to her son and you're here enjoying all his life his luxury"

With that Mom cries increased

Stacey talk all the trash till she was face to face with me .

"I lost my cousin today no! I lost a brother " she weeped

"Stace stop ." Aunt Rena spoke

"No! mom , i will talk you can all stay quite but i will talk because i lost my brother today because of her " she screamed into my face

I felt numb , i couldn't defend myself maybe she is right it's  my fault if i haven't been  close to him then he will have not left with me. I fell to the floor this time no one catch me

"Yeah yeah cry as much as you like we all know this is pretence just some crocodile tears. Firstly you snatch his parents love , then you get both of you in trouble , make him and you leave only for you to come back and take his heritage."

I couldn't even refuse the words that she said i only listened

"Yes i saw through your scams when everybody was blinded by your innocent looks which even tricked my dear brother. But not anymore i won't stand by and watch you destroy our family"

" You are just like you mom , a slut who will do anything for money"

*Slap*

A sound was heard through the whole room .

"How dare you talk about my mother like that. You can talk all the trash you want about me but do not disrespect my mother"

I laughed

" And what did i do huh? "

"What the fuck did I do ??"

"Mind your language " father said

"Isn't the  great Mr Rodrigo who chased his 16 year old daughter out of his house at night with no where to go uh?"

"In fact he even his disowned his own son just to throw out his 16 years old daughter "
