After the eventful early morning, we went back to my apartment and dried our soaked clothes and hair.

It was time to go to work and I should be focusing on getting ready, but my mind was too busy thinking about everything that happened in the past hour.

Was the kiss real or was it just a one time thing? I wasn't sure.

Jake's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. "Asteria, you're zoning out" he said. I gave him an apologizing smile. I quickly put on my shoes and unlocked the door. It would be really nice if Jake spent the day with me at work. I love my coworkers but it would be much more amusing if he was with me. I thought. "Hey I think it'd be nice if I went with you. But only if it's okay, of course..." he said out of nowhere. It surprised me. It's not the first time he said something I was just thinking about.

Strange.

"Yeah sure, I was just thinking that it would be fun if you went with me to be honest." I accepted his offer and soon we were walking along the road.

Mornings in Seoul were always pleasing and this morning surely wasn't an exception. After all, I was walking to work with my long lost friend, what else could I wish for? If only he held my hand again... After a few seconds, he actually took my hand in this.

What is this supposed to be? How is it possibly he always does or says things i was just thinking of? I wondered for a while.

But soon, these thoughts left my mind and i just enjoyed his presence.

We reached a very familiar place, the café. Niki was just writing some positive words on a chalkboard that was standing near the door, decorated by colourful flowers that were bringing everyone joy just by looking at them and admiring their beauty.

"Good morning" the brown haired boy said. His eyes shifted from me to Jake and he looked quite surprised and confused. I don't blame him tho. Seeing someone's best friend that dissapeared and didn't show up for 3 years is really shocking and confusing event, especially when everyone was convinced he was dead.

"Good morning Niki. Um this is Jake. I know I told you he's gone but..." I looked at Jake, not sure what to say since I didn't even know what happened. When will he finally tell me where he was these past 3 years? Actually, will he ever tell me what happened or will it stay a mistery forever?

Niki suddenly looked nervous and kind of uncomfortable. Jake probably noticed how nervous the boy has become and he said: "I know it's super weird, but please don't be too scared and don't think too much about it. Let's just act like we normally would and let's ignore all the questions now". The look in his eyes was intense but soon his eyes softened and he looked really friendly and bubbly.

"So this is the café you work in huh?" he asked with a cheerful tone. "Yeah, I really like it here. Lots of interesting people come here and it's quite amusing watching everyone". I said. "Oh my god, now I sound like a stalker" I added.
Jake laughed and the tension finally dissapeared. "I have to start working tho, Sunghoon will kill me if he finds out i'm not already serving some coffee. He's chill but he can be a baddass too." I said and put on my black waitress apron.

"Can I be the first one to order today?" he said with a soft smile. "Anything for you" I replied and started making his coffee.

The coffee was finished and he tasted it immediately after I served it for him. "Hmm the coffee is great" he said with a mustache that was created by the coffee cream. I couldn't help myself but laugh. "What?" he said, his eyes wide with surprise. "Nothing, you're just cute."

I couldn't believe I just said that to him. I mentally slapped myself and promised myself that i won't leave the word "cute"  out of my mouth again in front of him. "Not as cute as you tho" he said, leaving me speechless. I turned around, too embarrassed to look at him.

This day will be great.
