Resonance of the Soul - Will Persona Become a Death Scythe?

Death Weapon Meister Academy, more commonly known as the DWMA. It stands as a defense against the forces of evil, which would plunge the world into chaos and drag humanity to the very depths of fear and madness--the demons known as Kishins, and their insatiable hunger for destruction... To ensure the Kishin never regain their hold on this world, this academy was founded by the Grim Reaper, Death himself. It's an organization that exists to protect and preserve peace.

It's 10 o'clock PM in Death City. A woman walks down a seemingly empty alley, but is unknowingly being watched by a large blade-handed man with glowing red eyes. The man appears behind her and swipes is knife-like fingers through her body, savagely tearing her apart. A blue orb of light is emitted from the victim's body and fades away leaving her orb-like soul. The man grabs it with his knife-like fingers and eats it, receiving a boost in power. He suddenly hears another woman scream. Seeking more power, he chases after her. After the woman trips, the killer makes a giant leap, landing next to her. He raises his hand, ready to butcher her too, but is interrupted by the sound of you licking your lips. The killer looks up, seeing a boy with tri-colored spikey hair and you standing on top of a flight of stairs. The targeted woman takes advantage of the distraction and makes her escape. 

"That man, Persona. His soul." The boy says in a serious tone. 

"Yes, Yugi. There's no doubt about it." You said in agreement. "That guy's soul is a Kishin egg. It's pure evil. He's not human anymore."

"Any soul that breaks from the path of humanity and becomes evil runs the risk of forming into a Kishin. In the name of Lord Death this evil must be purged. Let's collect the damned soul and end this."

"Just so we're clear, Yugi, this guy's turning himself into a weapon. He's the same as me that way, but I look cuter in my human form than he does." You extend your arm out and it turns into a scythe blade. "But being a weapon isn't the problem. The problem with him...is his soul!"

"I know."

You fully transform into a scythe and Yugi equips himself with you.

"You, Serial Killer, Jack the Ripper, your murdering days are done. Your soul is mine!"

Jack rushes up the stairs and leaps up to Yugi.

"Weapon and Meister, two fighting as one. Let's go, Persona."

Jack attempts to cut Yugi, but he blocks the attack with you in your Weapon form and the two engage in battle. Jack continues to swipe at Yugi, but he keeps blocking, causing Jack to unintentionally take chunks of stone out of the walls and the ground. Yugi manages to leap up and kick Jack in the back of the head, leaving him to struggle to keep his balance at the top the stairs. Yugi makes a run for him, but Jack jumps high into the air. Yugi follows suit. 

"It's ours, now...the 99th soul!!!" Yugi shouts as he slices Jack with you in hand.

Jack's body disappears leaving his tainted red soul. The soul slowly lowers itself to the ground, where you, in transition between your two forms grab it. You then got to your feet and proceed to eat it.

"Yugi, thanks for the meal." You said with a satisfied smile on you face and your hands together as if you're praying.

"We're almost there. It took us long enough, but that was number 99, so we've finally collected all the Kishin souls we needed."

"There's only one thing left to do now," You turn to your partner. "I just have to eat the soul of a witch, then I'll become one of Lord Death's weapons. You're looking at the next most powerful Death Scythes!"

You walk up the flight of stairs with Yugi following. 

"Let's report back to Lord Death and let him know."
