01. The Beginning

Chapter 1 - Lyra Beaumont

"You have to come with me to the concert!"

An annoying voice fills the room, and that annoying voice is my sister, begging me to go to this concert with her so Mom and Dad would let her go. I groan and look up at her. "No," I say in a stern voice and look back to my movie. She steps in front of the television and puts her hands on her hips. I stare at her, trying to see if I could move her with my mind, but no, nothing happens.

"Please go with me! At least if you go with me, Mom and Dad are more likely to say yes because they trust you more!" She begs and pleads me to go with her, just to see an arrogant, selfish, and narcissistic ass man. I laugh at her desperation and the need for the constant attention he so-called gives her. "And why don't they trust you? Oh wait, it's because you spend their money on him and his ugly ass merchandise." Sarcasm covers my voice. "Oh come on! It was one time! Why do you keep bringing it up!" She yells and I can tell she's getting frustrated because she know she I'm right.

I laugh at her lie and trying to seem so innocent. "One time? More like 6 times. 3 of those times happened when you were drunk." I remind her, knowing that was the time she broke up with her current ex boyfriend. She just rolls her eyes and sits down next to her and takes my hands into her hands. "Those were times that I was trying to forget about. But anyway, will you please come with me? I will do anything you ask me for a month." She looks into my eyes and I can tell she's genuine but I can also tell she's just doing this to get something out of this.

"How about you stop always talking about him and how hot he is?" I still ask my question I was thinking about even though I already knew the answer. She practically laughs in my face and acts like I'm a crazy women. "Wow, that's such an amazing joke. You're so crazy for thinking that I could stop talking to you about him and how hot he is. Have you seen him? He looks like the definition of beautiful. Do you not find him attractive? And if you say no, you're no longer my sister, you'll be more my enemy than my sister because how dare you say he's not attractive." She goes on about how if I don't find him attractive, she's gonna disown me as her sister and pretend she doesn't know who I am. I mean he's cute, but his personality ruins it, so does his attitude his fans.

Some videos that I've seen of him at his concerts, he's practically screaming and yelling at his fans. Telling them to leave and if they don't leave, they will call security and have them escort out. I sigh, trying to get ready for the storm that's going to hit me as soon as tell her my real opinion. "I mean, he's kinda attractive, but his personality and his attitude ruins it for me." I close my eyes, trying to prepare for my sister's rage. After a few moments, my sister doesn't speak and I open my eyes slowly. Thinking she could strike right then and there but no, I hear no screaming, crying or a group of fangirls ready to come and beat me up for calling their idol kinda attractive, but nothing.

I look at my sister and she's smiling at me. I get a little freaked out with the way she's smiling at me. "Why are you looking at me like that?" I ask and she just acts like she's doing nothing. "Like what?" She keeps staring at me, but making her smile bigger. She's gonna make me have nightmares about a smiling clown.

"Like you're gonna try and kill me, then hide my body in the sewers or something." I say what I'm thinking and she just starts snickering. I sigh, tsking my tongue. "I'm just smiling because you finally admitted that you thought Aiden was sexy!" She squeals in satisfaction. "Sexy?! I never said he was sexy! I said he was KINDA attractive, not fully attractive." I keep denying and denying what she said, which makes the situation worse. "Why are you getting defensive about this? All it takes is one simple no but you keep explaining what you said and what you think about him.
