TW: Guns, Muggin's and Sleep Deprivation I suppose

Tommy didn't quite understand when his cafe started getting popular. He was just an average 16 year old, who inherited way too much money from his parents when they inevitably died. (They were business people who were barely around, so he didn't really give a flying fuck.) He wasn't one to waste money. He really only used it for necessities, or to help people in need. And because of that, he bought a cafe with an apartment 'complex' above it.

Yes, it may have been a legal nightmare to be able to get access to the funds but he managed. It took a bit of guilt trip with a sprinkle of 'my parents were murdered and the case is still cold' but it worked somehow! And he got emancipated at the age of 14!

But, so far, Tommy has two out of the five rooms above the cafe full.

One is his apartment, and the other is rented out to a girl named Cat who is a single mother to her daughter Mellohi.

He had offered a job to her, but she declined because she had one already. That didn't stop Tommy from forcing her to let him pay for all her groceries, and let her stay rent free.

Cat was a very sweet person, she was an 18 year old who got kicked out from her parents because she wouldn't give up Mellohi.

Tommy sort of knew the struggle of trying to balance trying to find a living space, get food, and just generally surviving.

So when he ran into her on the streets, he had offered her a house above his cafe. She hadn't heard of the place before but eventually accepted the offer. It may have taken some reassurance that he wasn't gonna charge her anything, and that he wasn't a serial killer, but he was true to his words and he made a lifelong friend.

When Cat moved in, she was a little surprised when he'd offered to buy baby stuff for Mellohi. Tommy had to convince her again that it wouldn't hurt his bank account. It really didn't make a dent, his parents may have been shit but they were fucking rich bastards.

Tommy just wanted to make her life a bit easier, because taking care of an infant, as well as working part time, trying to manage buying an apartment and food would've been a massive struggle. So he knocked off three of those things and offered to get a babysitter for her when she went to work.

She had only worked three out of the six days in office, Monday, Wednesday and Friday. So he talked to her about it and he hired a nanny named Clementine. Tommy trusted Clem with his life. She was a middle aged lady, in her early forties who watched over Tommy when he was a kid.

He loved Clementine and Cat and Mellohi adored her too. Official No.1 best nanny.

The apartments weren't bad in all honesty. They were kinda small, but livable. There was no mold.. or sticky.. walls. Four of the rooms were one bed, one bath, a kitchen, and a smaller living room. The last one was a two bedroom, one bath, a kitchen, and a slightly larger living room; he gave that one to Cat, since she was the one who had a kid.

The Cafe was a three story building. Tommy's apartment and the cafe were on the main floor; two of the empty apartments along with the washing machines and dryers were on the second floor ...and both Cat's apartment and the last empty apartment were on the third floor.

Tommy named the cafe, Avia's, because that was the Avian breeds homeland. It is one of the only places in the world that had never participated in war. They had never broken peace.

However, the land had been long terminated. One day it was there, the next it went poof, and was just gone .

It was lost to history, and the Avian species began its downfall. Nobody could figure out where the land went. Over the years, Avians became harder to find, to the point where people thought that the Avians powers were officially gone forever. Only two known Avians, who had their distinguished features still lived. One was a hero who went by Jester, a man who could control luck and chance. He only had the Avian wings, but he was not a purebred. The other man was a guy named Grian, who owned a local bread shop called Grian's Grains. He as well only had the wing aspects of an Avian.
