Chapter Five:
<Hellspider>
"No way! I am not going anywhere with you!" Relda said indignantly. Amy gave her a look. Did she really think they have a choice in the matter? These men, whoever they are, has the knife not them.
"Then we'll have to carry you," Kole replied promptly. "But I'd rather you come clean and good." And with some dignity at least, Amy thought absentmindedly as Kole continued on. "You can leave a letter with Mosa for your uncle. He'll know where you went......."
"No, no, no, stone face, no!" Relda paced angrily. "You won't take me anywhere!"
"Holden, carry her." Kole ordered. He glanced at Amy. She had noticed that the men avoided looking at her unless necessarily. "What about you?" He asked. He had a soft way of speaking despite looking ragged.
"I'll come with you." Amy replied quietly.
Relda gave her that wide eyed surprised look___ seriously, what did she expect?___ that was short lived as the next instance Holden, the big bald man, hurled her over his shoulder. And they all started out of the door leading to the bridge, with Relda kicking and cursing at the bald man. "Before you stab me or something, make sure it's the wise decision," Holden warned unfazed by her attics.
Kole was at front on the narrow bridge, then Scars and Nale followed in that order, they had Amy and Relda in the center of sorts, with Holden carrying Relda just behind Nale, Amy was behind him. Then lastly Zark, who did something to the lock earlier to break in and again to mend it back to its former state after they entered, followed.
It didn't take long walking along the bridge for Relda to finally give in. "Fine," she said. "Put me down bull head, I will walk. I follow you to Keaja Nara if you want!"
"That's ver romantic." Holden chuckled placing her down in front of him. Relda pursed her lips and glared at him but he just nudged her on the shoulder and said. "Walk," she glared harder but did.
Amy frowned. Why does she even do that? It's inevitable she'll go with them. Why struggle only to give in?
Kole and Nale were talking ahead, and Scars was now the one in front. "....... Is in the city. If Bashir is dead then it's most likely him." Kole said.
"If he comes for after us...." Nale pointed trailing suggestively.
"He should have left after losing Venar."
"Unlikely." Scars said, her voice was very cold with no trace of emotion. "I know Kloud very well, he's all I studied since I was born. He and the sword." A sudden silence descended but the scarred woman did not seem to notice, or care. "He's angry and blood thirsty after Venar got away from him. He might leave, but not before throwing a tantrum. He might leave a nasty surprise for Six towers as he goes."
"And he might come for her." Nale said glancing behind.
"Me?" Amy squeaked, feeling cold all of a sudden.
"He shouldn't," Kole half snapped. "They haven't met yet, he doesn't know her."
"Great!" Relda said. "Just great. We have the nasty surprise gift from the demon king to look out for. Where are we going?"
They stepped off the bridge atop the roof of a two storey building and climbed down into an alley on a side ladder. The horrible smell made Amy scrunch her nose, so she was glad when they exited it for the street. The moon was almost full and lamp lights from windows helped light up the street. "First," Kole answered. "We are going to find Mosa so you can write a letter for your uncle. Then we leave the city."
"You are going to really let me write a letter?" Relda asked suspiciously.
"Swordmen always keep our promise," Kole shrugged. "And there's no sword as true as Realmknights. Besides, it's the right thing to do. Your involvement with Venar might be for nothing afterall and you'll come back home as soon as it's cleared."
