*play the music while you read* 💕"Ow!" a pillow is strucked on my face causing me to sit up and look around the room struggling to adjust my eyes to the bright light.
"You two face donkey! you snuck out again!" abuelita chucked the pillow at me her face was red if she was in a cartoon steam would be blasting out her ears.
"What are you talkin' ab-" "Don't play dumb Carlos, I checked in your room last night you weren't here!" I sighed pulling the blanket off of me "Grandma I was here all night." "You think I'm stupid!"
I stood up from my bed and placed my hands on her shoulders "Okay Okay, I went out only to the gas station I wanted something to snack on."
Of course that wasn't the truth she didn't believe it she pushed my hands off and scoffed walking out of my room muttering curses under her breath.
I walked behind her "Abuelita, Abuelita I'm sorry for not telling you!" she shakes her head "Maybe I should call the jud-" "NO! I- por favor gimme another chance I won't do it again..."
She sighs and reaches down for my hands "All I want is for you to stay out of trouble."
"Yes ma'am." she gives me a sly smile and I bent down to allow her to kiss my cheek. "Now come help me with breakfast!" I nod quickly running to the kitchen with a wide grin on my face finally real food.
Last night...
"I forgot how long this shit takes to charge." I muttered while I waited for my phone to charge. It wasn't long until it slowly powered on shocking me with countless of notifications that I never knew I had some from when I was in jail while others just yesterday.
I deleted those notifications when a sudden video call was ringing I pressed the 'Accept' button to see a crowd of people dancing in the background with crazy flashing lights. "My man Carlos they freed you!" the caller shouted I smirked "Leo you partyin' and ain't even invite me bro?"
He laughs before my phone buzzed he sent me his location "Never that!" the call ends and I threw my phone on my bed as I walked over to my closet looking for something to wear.
I settled with a white tee with black ripped jeans and a splash of my gold jewelry. As I was pushing on my diamond stud I heard the floor creak. Damn grandma's up I quickly grabbed my phone and sneakers cracking my bedroom window open carefully crawling out.
I closed the window leaving a small crack for me to open it up I crouched down past the windows and jogged down the street.
I walked down the street usin' the gps on my phone the place wasn't far but after a few years it's a little rusty in my mind.
