I woke up and stared at the roof. Today was the day. I was really nervous.
" I can do this " I thought to myself while sighing.
I walked to my closet and opened it. A gush of wind startled me a bit. I started rummaging through my clothes until I found a pair of jeans and a striped shirt. I headed to the bathroom to change. I opened the cabinet and got my toothbrush and toothpaste. I started to brush my teeth and wash my face. After I got changed I headed downstairs.
" Good morning " my mom said, " How did you sleep? "
" Fine "
" Are you excited for today " she said while putting a plate of food in front of me.
" Not really " I mumbled.
" You'll be amazing as always, no need to worry " my mom said with a smile.
All of a sudden my sister rushed into the kitchen and hugged me.
" Hi Calliope, guess what I made you " her eyes filled with joy.
" What did you make me? " I asked in a sweet voice.
" I made you a drawing " she said as she pulled it out from behind her back, " It's an orchid, do you like it? "
I took the picture from her hands and looked at it for a minute.
" I love it. Thanks Adelyne " I said, folding it and putting it in my back pocket. Orchids are one of my favorite flowers.
I finished eating and went to go grab my stuff. I hugged my mom and sister goodbye and headed out the door. I started walking to school trying not to think about it. When I arrived I got really nervous. I stared at the front gates and forced my feet to move. I walked to the front office.
" Hello, how may I help you? " a lady asked me.
" Hello, I-I wanted to know where m-my class is " I asked sheepishly.
" Alright, what's your name love? " she asked me.
" C-Calliope"
" Okay, are you a new student? "
" Y-yes mam "
" Okay, here is your schedule and your first class will take place in classroom 11 "
" Okay, t-thank you mam " I said and I walked out as fast as I could.
I walked through the halls until I reached room 11. I stood outside the door for a minute. I took a deep breath and walked in.
" That must be her " the teacher said with a smile.
Everyone turned their attention to where I was standing. All eyes were on me. I nervously walked to an empty chair in the corner of the class. I sighed and sat down slowly. I just wanted this day to end.
