After one week

No one talked about the whole incident ever since however she could feel them staring at her. All her family members just looked at her with disappointment. She barely saw Taehyung after that day. The thought of him made her heart ache. She tried contacting him but all in vain. Taehyung seemed to have moved on rather quickly.

She felt stupid for trusting him for imagining a life with him. She felt used and disgusted. Taehyung broke her heart in the worst way possible. She won’t ever recover from that.

Jungkook was kind enough to agree to the marriage again. Y/N felt deeply grateful. Everyone had decided to completely forget about the incident all together. Y/N wanted to do so too but she couldn’t.

She didn’t know why Taehyung did this to her. She kept comforting herself thinking that Taehyung must have had his reasons. But it didn’t make the pain any less.

“Jungkook is coming. Get ready.” Soobin knocked on the door and informed her.

She started going through her clothes. She found his shirt. It still smelled like him.

A tear trickled down.

She threw the shirt away but she picked it up again and put it inside.
She was still not over him.

—-----------------
“We were planning the wedding at the end of December.” Jungkook stated.

She nodded. They were walking in her personal garden. She hadn’t been there for a while but Jungkook asked her to give him a tour. She couldn’t deny his bunny smile.

“We should go out perhaps for dinner. We still haven’t had a proper date yet. I know this Korean place, they have delicious food and drinks. We should go out on the weekend, if you’d like that?” He asked nervously. Asking her out for the first time he felt anxious.

“I would love that Jungkook.” Y/N replied yet it was emotionless.  As if she only responded as a formality. Jungkook noticed. He had been very understanding of the whole situation. Unlike her entire family, he doesn’t think it was her fault. She really loved Taehyung.

“You didn’t deserve to be hurt this way.” Jungkook empathised.

“I shouldn’t have trusted so easily” She appreciated Jungkook’s efforts but they did not make the situation any better. Every conversation with any hint of Taehyung made her feel embarrassed. It reminded her of the look on his face when he denied to marry her in front of everyone as if it meant nothing. It meant nothing to ruin her life.

Jungkook pulled her out of her train of thought. He held her hand.
“I will never let anyone hurt you, Y/N.” She locked eyes with him.” I promise.”

Flashback

“I will never let anyone hurt you, Y/N.” Taehyung cupped her face.

Y/N had been receiving creepy texts and calls where no one spoke. She had a fragile heart and little things like this would mess up her mind. She tried blocking the number but the texts and calls did not stop. She finally confided in Taehyung. He was trying his best to comfort her and calm her down.

“Yesterday he called in the middle of the night. I picked it up but there was no response.” she expressed

“It’s okay. Let’s do one thing. Next time he calls you, tell me and I will talk to him and make him stop whatever he is trying to do.”

“What would I do without you, Taehyung.” She hugged him tightly.

“Why do you get upset so easily when I am here to protect you forever.”

—-------------------------
‘Forever’ that word made you laugh now. Nothing lasts forever and those who believe so are fools.

It was hard to trust anyone again but Jungkook had been very nice. He always made her chuckle at his silly jokes.

She was getting ready. She was going to dinner with Jungkook. It felt nice going out after so long. She wore a beautiful white dress that made her look like an angel.

She wore perfume and did her hair and make-up.

She walked down to the car.

—-----------------------------
She had slept on her way. The place was a little far away, she wondered. She looked outside but she was on the highway. She was confused. Where was this place?

She asked her driver about this.

“It was in the main city. What route are you taking?” She asked. She opened her phone to check her location and it was out of the city. Away from her home, the restaurant and Jungkook. She did not have a good feeling about this.

“Stop the car”

But the driver didn't listen and instead increased the speed.

She was about to hit him to force him to stop it. But she looked in the rear view mirror and she saw a familiar pair of eyes.

“Taehyung?”

The car stopped with a jerk and she was thrown on the seat in front. The next moments were all blurry in her eyes. She remembered that her head was bleeding, The driver put a cloth across her face and she was slowly fainting.

“I’ll keep you safe.” He whispered in her ears.

She struggled to keep her eyes open.

“I will never let anyone hurt you, Y/N”

Her eyes finally shut down.

With one last look she knew who it was.

The person she loved but now hates the most.

Kim Taehyung.
