The Party

It's been a few weeks since Rafe and Willow kissed in his room, and she has been avoiding his calls and texts. The Pogues were trying to find some cross that was Pope's family possession. She never took part in their treasure quests because she was the person they needed to be able to fall back on if they needed help.

Money? Willows got it. A roof? She's paying for it. A plane? She has access to the Camerons' private plane. Food? She cooks the best fajitas in all of OBX. Party supplies? She works at the family restaurant, she can get any drinks.

Willow was like a sister to all of them. As soon as Kiara introduced them to the family she became close with all of them. They were all headed towards the Haywards when Kiara needed to stop by the restaurant that their parents owned for something. As everyone waited in the Twinkie, none other than Rafe Cameron walked by. Willow fell back onto the ground out of sight from outside the van.

Willow couldn't bear even to see him after what happened weeks ago. The way his hair fell in front of his face perfectly. She couldn't stop thinking about the way his hands felt on her body that night. She sat back up as soon as Kiara came back into the van.

"Why were you on the ground?" asked Kiara as she buckled up and John B drove.

"She was hiding from Rafe," interjected Pope, before Willow could even open her mouth.

"You're so going to explain yourself later at the beach," that's when Willow remembered. Tonight was the night everyone in OBX came together and got destroyed on the beach. Meaning, Rafe was going to be there. When Willow glanced over at JJ he seemed upset and when she went to touch his hand to nonverbally give him reassurance, he pulled away.

They all got to the Chateau and Willow grabbed JJ pulling him towards the chicken coop. "Jay, what's wrong? Are you mad at me?" JJ just shook his head, "JJ Maybank, don't you dare lie to me."

"I love you okay? I've loved you for a while but you're older than me and Kie's sister which is why I know it'll never happen but seeing you the other night I knew you were upset and all I wanted was to comfort you and hold you," she went to go speak but he kissed her. She pulled away, she was 20 almost 21, and he was 17.

"I have to go," Willow hopped in her car and sped away without another word. When she pulled up to her house, her parents were laughing outside on the porch. She didn't want to ruin their moment so she went in through the main door of the house. Walking up to her room, she got another text from Rafe.

It read: Willow, I don't know what I did but if it was the kiss I'm sorry. I didn't mean to overwhelm you, but can we please talk at the party tonight? You're coming, right?

Willow took a deep breath and sat on the cream-carpeted stairs figuring out what to say to him.

Willow responded: Sure, we can talk tonight. Yeah, I'm coming. You know me, a party animal ;)

Willow couldn't help but smile when he sent a red heart.

"Hey there kiddo," Willow looked down the stairs and saw her mom standing at the bottom. "You doing okay?" Willow and her mother had an on-and-off relationship, but she could always trust her mom with anything. Ever since she was little she always told her mom everything.

"The past week has been an absolute movie, not a good movie," the two of them ended up sitting on the edge of Willow's bed. She explained to her mom about the kiss with Rafe and the fact JJ kissed her earlier. "Mom...what am I supposed to do?"

"Do you have feelings for JJ?" Willow shook her head. "Do you have feelings for Rafe?" She nodded. "Then go get him. You know how your father and I feel about those Pogues and the fact that a 17-year-old kissed you is enraging but I am not dealing with that,"
