Cas looked around her bare room before finally shutting the door. "So this is the fantastical room that I wanted so bad when I was little, huh?" She moved over to the swinging window door and gave it a small push, frowning when it didn't budge. "Hm. That's unfortunate." She sighed, moving over to the closet. "Maybe I can try to fix it later.." her voice trailed off as she became fixated on the interior of the closet door. It had quite the interesting texture.
It felt....sticky and gross.
Just as she was about the turn on the light to the closet, she heard a loud bump come from downstairs. "Shit. I forgot to leave the door open." She quickly made her way down both flights of stairs and into the main hallway.
Her father, drunk as a sailor, was carrying a small bag over his left shoulder while his right had crashed into the door frame. He looked up and when he saw her, he started giggling like a little kid. "CASSIEEEEEEEEEEeeeee....." he trailed off. Cas looked at him and sighed, trying to keep her sanity intact. She slowly took the bag off his shoulder and placed it on her own. Her father frowned a bit at that, but decided that the gum on the back of the door hinge was much more interesting. "Dad, can you please stop poking the gum and go sit down on the couch?" Cas sighed as she started organizing boxes and bags in the corner of the kitchen. "nnnooooooooooooooooo.." With the way he was acting, you'd think he was a child or at least below the age of 12, and not a 42 year old man with a 14 year old daughter and a functional job.
Once Cas had finished moving all the boxes and bags inside and made sure they weren't going to fall or get tripped over, she made her way to the couch where her father had passed out 10 minutes ago. She sat on the armrest and just settled for a bit before standing and grabbing a blanket from one of the bags in the kitchen. She spread it out over her father and then grabbed his phone and made sure his alarm was set, so he wouldn't be late to work tomorrow. Once everything was set up for him, she grabbed the final box containing her belongings and made her way back up to the attic. Once she was in the small room again she made sure the stairs were stored correctly and that the door was shut before opening the box containing her blue, worn-out sleeping bag and tossing it to the floor. She closed the box and just sat there for a second, shutting her eyes as well.
'I have a feeling this move just might be the most difficult yet.' She thought as she opened her eyes and rolled onto her sleeping bag. She took one last glance around the room before closing her eyes once again, this time with the intent of sleeping.

Somewhere in the distance, telltale sounds of a carnival could be heard over the light breeze blowing through the small town.
A pamphlet brushed through the streets before landing on a very familiar doorstep. On it read the words "COME SEE THE CARNIVAL OF CONUNDRUMS!! WHERE WE TAKE STORIES AND MYTHS AND MAKE THEM INTO A REALITY!" At the bottom in smaller text, one could make out "So fun, you'll want to hang around forever!"
