Papa surprise

It was still early in the morning, so early that it is still dark outside, but someone decided to sneak into the kitchen.

Vihu tiptoed to the kitchen and pulled his father's phone from his poket and typed the password which was akku&vihu in capitals, he opened YouTube and searched 'how to make biryani' and found many recipes so he picked a video where a nice old lady was cooking.

He took out all the ingredients he found making of course a huge mess of viren's precious kitchen, he started seasoning the chicken after trying his best to cut it but it was still frozen so it was hard, after that he moved to the vegetables and did a better job in chopping this time, he soaked the rice after scooping what looked enough for him, he took out all the spices he could find and added two spoons of each to the chicken and to the vegetables, the phone long forgotten about as he followed his intuition and started copying what he remember his papa doing.

There was one problem, he didn't know how to turn on the stove , so he kept trying until he figured it out. He was so proud of himself.

He wanted to make biryani for his papa since it's his birthday and it's his favourite dish, he didn't care that it's still so early and no one eats biryani for breakfast, and he didn't care that he was doing all the steps wrong, in his head, he is doing a surprise for his papa and he always wanted to cook for him, so he is going to try his hardest and best to make the day special for him.

Vihu started to cook with utmost focus, he even burnt his hand few times which lead to few tears but he could handle it.

After what seemed like forever, finally his biryani that consisted of undercooked, almost raw chicken, burnt vegetables and mushy rice was ready, he managed to serve it leaving the all messed up kitchen behind him, he ran to the bathroom to freshen up and try to treat his wounds before waking him papa up.

"Papa," he shook his father gently.

Viren opened his eyes and saw the sight of his baby smiling at him, he smiled back and looked at the time, it was still early so he just pulled him under the blanket and hugged him to his chest " sleep baby, it's still early " he mumbled.

Vihu's face dropped and his lip wobbled a little bit " but, mm papa, I'm hungry " he came up with an excuse, it worked as viren got after stretching his limbs and got down the bed pulling vihu with him.

"Go baby, wake bhaiyu up, ok?" He said and made his way to the bathroom.

Vihu jumped on Akaash's bed startling him out of sleep, " vihu what is this?" Akaash asked glaring him.

"Bhaiyu wake up please it's papa's birthday " vihu whined.

"It's still early, sleep and let me sleep too" mumbled akaash before going back to sleep.

"But I made biryani for papa" vihu said looking down fighting his tears.

"YOU DID WHAT?" Akaash asked fully awake now.

"Don't shout" vihu whimpered, sniffing suddenly feeling emotional and tired.

Akaash just sighed and got up, taking a sad vihu with him.
