"Make sure to hide your face when we go in." He said pulling me down the alleyway

"Cas, wait-"

"We're going in through the back to grab the money. He hides it in a safe. I already know the code because he's bad at hiding stuff-"

"Caspian!" I hiss, pinning him to the wall

He quiets and just stares at me. His face grows red and he looks away. Caspian whispers, "W-what is it?"

"Do we really need to do this? We still have some money left!"

"But if we don't then we won't have any money to eat!" he says still looking away

I get off of him and he goes to the back of the building without saying another word. I follow suit as he stands there waiting for me by the door. Before he go in he adjusts his hat and then mine to make sure anyone would not see our faces.

He goes in before saying to me, "Be on watchout Rwain. I'll be quick!"

"Alright." I stand by the door as it closes behind him

I keep watch of our surroundings anxiously tapping my foot. It was getting pretty late and it was getting dark. I don't know why, but I was nervous. I'm usually not this nervous, what is wrong with me. As I'm waiting for Caspian to come back I hear a sound. A flashlight flickers down the alleyway and I hear footsteps. My heart starts beating faster and I try to think of what to do. I look towards the light and see it's a security guard.

"Hey!" A deep voice yells, "Is someone there?"

I freeze, my heart feels like it'll jump out of my chest. I breathe and calm down. I pull my hat lower on my face and step out into the light. I put on my fake smile that I usually give momma, and I wave at the guard.

"Hello, sorry. I'm just waiting for a friend," I say in a somewhat higher pitched voice.

"You can't be here, wait somewhere else," He says ushering me away.

"I'm waiting for a friend from work officer, he'll be right out." I say stepping away from him.

He shines the light in my face trying to examine me, and I put my hand up blocking my face slightly. I don't want him to recognize me.

He grunts and says, "You can stay here for a few more minutes. But you'll have to leave soon, it's not safe for girls to be out this late. There has been lot lot of missing kids lately and we just got two more reports of missing kids..." He sighs shaking his head

'I knew it, he thinks I'm a girl.' I think to myself

"Thank you sir." I say calmly despite my heart beating so fast

The door opens behind me and Caspian comes out holding a bag. The guard sees him but I step in front of him before he notices what's going on. I grab Caspian's hand and hold him still behind me. He has a worried look on his face but he doesn't move.

"You could've waited inside for your boyfriend, miss!" The guard exclaims

"Hey look it's not safe to leave girls out here alone this late at night, learn that now young man! Treat your girlfriend nicer!" The guard gruffly said before patting Caspian on the shoulder and walking away

We watch the guard walk down the alley and turn a corner. We both let out a sigh of relief when he leaves. Caspian starts walking away still holding my hand.

"G-girlfriend?," He laughs, blushing looking at me.

"He though I was a girl, I even faked a girl voice," I shrugged
