"THATS cold" Stevie said as I was venting to her about the Alex situation.
"I know right?? Like how can you just be flirting with me and then go and do the same with your girlfriend." I said slurring my words as the coke had gotten to me.
It was silent for a few seconds before I spoke up, "I should get home." I looked towards Stevie who was in her own world and probably didn't hear me. I just stood up and stumbled towards her door, taking one more glance at her I saw that she was asleep. I looked over towards her dresser seeing a bag of colorful pills.
Molly.
I walked over towards it and shoved it in my hoodie pockets. A little bit of pills can't hurt anyways.
I turned towards her door and made my way to it, turning the knob I walked out. Trying to walk as straight as possible I walked out of her front door since her parents weren't home.

"Where were you, young lady?" my mom asked me as I walked inside, the drugs almost worn off. "At Stevie's, sorry I didn't tell you. Goodnight Ma." I walked over towards her, giving her a kiss on the cheek, and thank God it was too dark inside to see my eyes or I would be dead.
I walked into my room and collapsed on my bed, not bothering to do anything, just focused on sleeping. God I could not feel a thing.

As I woke up from my alarm I quickly threw on the first thing I saw, it actually was kind of cute. I walked toward the bathroom and brushed my teeth for a longer time than normal to make up for the lack of brushing last night.
As I put on my jacket I felt a small bag, I had forgotten to take it out last night. Staring down at the bag I finally opened it, hesitantly placing a pill in the back of my mouth, the bright green pill slid down my throat as I swallowed it. I don't know why I took it but I did, i'm so confused.
I could feel the pill kicking in as I walked out of the front door, the numbness coming back just like yesterday, but also the happiness, I was excited.
I walked down the sidewalk with my backpack straps in hand, I watched my feet move as I took a step, am I real? I was deep in it, deep in the high, why did I do that. I grabbed my phone and checked the time, I glanced at the date next to it.
Saturday
SHIT. My eyes widened as I realized I didn't have to go to school today. I stopped in my tracks and became aware of my surroundings, Alex's house. I didn't think about what I was doing, I just did it. I knocked on Alex's door, happily, and to my surprise he opened it.
"Araceli? What are you doing here it's 8 in the morning?" He glanced down at my backpack, "You know we don't have school right."
I laughed, nothing was funny but I laughed. Everything felt funny, like I was dreaming. I smiled at him, "Can I come in?" I said.
He moved out of the doorframe to let me in, nobody was home, just him. He led me up to his room, "I thought we had school today" I blurted out as we walked up the stairs.
"I could tell." He said gesturing towards my backpack, I smiled at him as I felt my stomach spin in circles. I couldn't tell if it was the drugs doing this or my real feelings.
As we reached his room he sat on a spinning chair spinning it to face towards his bed, he nodded his head to his bed, telling me to sit down. As I sat down he spoke up, "Why are you here at 8am Araceli?" My stomach swirled in circles as he said my name.
"I missed you"
What? I missed him?? I scolded myself in my head as I said that meanwhile my body stayed still, not reacting to what I just said, it was as if I had no control over myself.
"You missed me?" He repeated as he gave me a weird look. "Araceli...are you high?" he asked me as he scooted over towards me, grabbing my chin to lift my head up so he could see my eyes, my very noticeable red eyes.
No. Say no. "Yes." I responded, internally cringing at myself. I stared at him, waiting for his reaction.
