My name is Mercedes Anne Davis. I was born on June 22, 1992. I am now 23, almost 24. I was born and raised in Toledo, Ohio. I grew up as the popular one at school, cause of my looks and my voice. I have been singing since I was 15. When I was 13 I started to really get into music.
I never really knew what I wanted to do with my life up until the end of high school. That's when I decided I was going to skip college and focus on building a music career. I played at bars and parties until I was signed to Big Machine Records in 2015.
Ever since then I've been writing songs and working on my second album. I just released my first album last year, Reputation. It reached number 8 on the Billboard. At the end of last year my managers told me that Machine Gun Kelly would be going on his 27 World Tour this year and he wanted me to open for him. Of course I excepted.
His drummer and I, Rook, went to high school together. We dated for a little bit during senior year. We even one prom king and queen, but we decided that our friendship was more valuable and we didn't want to risk loosing it
We start touring tomorrow. So that means this is my last night in my own bed by myself. I'll have to stay on their tour bus filled with guys for about 122 days. I don't know if I'm going to survive. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.
