Kibutsuji Muzan has lived a rather melancholy life. Despite having the looks of a God, born into money, owns his father's company, and could have any woman he wanted, he's spent years alone smothering himself inside his own solitude. He is cold and short tempered. Some would even say he is selfish down to his bones, when in fact, he is just the opposite.

P.O.V. - Muzan -
It's Wednesday and the board decided to have a meeting right before my lunch to discuss the security of my assets and few other things that aren't even worth my time. The meeting ended up bleeding into my lunch hour resulting in me missing my time to eat. Alas I cannot skip these meetings as they still hold some importance to the future and persistence of the company. Even though I own the top selling business in the world of artisanry, and have enough money for me to live more than comfortably, something still feels off. I can't pin point what exactly is causing this empty feeling... Maybe my stomach. After the meeting I return to my office and call for my clerk. Moments later a knock sounds at my door. "Mr. Kibutsuji?" A woman's voice sounds through the door. "Enter," I say, keeping my focus on the monitor on my desk. The sound of the door opening pulls my gaze to the threshold and I see a woman I do not recognize standing in it. Her hair is long and black, like my own, and her eyes are a stunning shade of blue. The woman wears a white turtle neck sweater with charcoal colored jeggings, and sports a red bow that peaks over her head to tie her hair back. She stands with confidence and I see she carries a bento box wrapped in a red and white polka dot cloth. I had to admit she is beautiful.
"I don't believe we've met before Miss..." I trail on, prompting her to tell me her name.
"Asahi Kei, sir. Written with the kanji for morning sun. I am your new clerk." She states.
"Ah. I see. Do you know what happened of the last one?"
"I was told he was being scandalous with his female coworkers, so they let him go."
"Oh yes, I remember now. No doubt they only hired a woman so they can bat against anymore rumors that fail to align with my business image, but that aside. Ms. Asahi, would you be able to run out and pick up something for me to eat? I'm afraid my meeting took my lunch."
The lady looks down at her bento and smiles as she speaks. "Oh. Well would you like my lunch? I was about to go for my break, but I'm not all too hungry at the moment and I'd rather it not go to waste. But if not I can definitely go and get you whatever you'd like!" She rushes out the last bit of her sentence. Her sudden tolerance pulls a light chuckle from me. "Well it depends. What did you bring today?" I query her and motion for her to set the box on my desk. She complies and proceeds to tell me the contents of her bento. My stomach takes interest and growls at me silently, so I give her a smile, and tell her I'd return the box to her desk before she goes home today. Asahi nods and turns to exit my office, but stops at the door to tell me there are clean chopsticks inside for me to use, then proceeds on her way out. After the door clicks shut, I reach for the bento and begin to untie its wrapping. The box itself is made of cherry wood and painted on one side is a cherry blossom tree. I dig into the food, and it's utterly delicious. "She definitely made this herself," I say aloud with a mouth full of food.
After I finished the meal, I arrange the box as it once was, and set it on the floor next to my desk. I resume my previous work, and before I know it, it's almost days end. I look at the time and see my employees should be heading home soon. I take a sticky note from the pad at the corner of my desk, and write a note for Ms. Asahi. After placing the note on her bento I stand and leave my office to find her desk with the box in hand. It takes a moment, but I've finally found her. 'Why is she all the way over here if she's my clerk? That just seems inconvenient. I'll have her desk moved by next week.' I think to myself. Noticing she is away I neatly place the wrapped box on her desk and leave the office to make my own way home.
