Watching Him Fall In Love

Keep On Living

I sat in silence as I ate my cereal. It was quiet in the apartment and I didn't know what to do so I took a shower and grabbed my keys then walked out the door.

I drove around for 15 minutes until I saw where I wanted to go.

I walked in and the comforting smell of unworn fabric and new shoes filed the air. I spent three hours walking around the mall and bought almost every cute thing I saw.

After I got in the car I started driving back home but then saw the pet store with a cute little family of three with a new puppy on a leash. That's what I wanted.

I parked in the parking lot and went inside. I saw cages of dogs and puppies lining the back wall and looked at them all but I couldn't find one that I liked.

I then chose to walk towards the cats just for fun and then saw one that made my heart melt. He was grey with a little spot of white between his two eyes and white fur over his feet making them look like socks.

I had to have him. I grabbed a cat bed and cat toys and I grabbed little cat bowls for food and water and a litter box and every little thing a cat would need.

Then I asked one of the employees to take him out and I filled out all the paperwork.

"Now what would you like to name him?" Said the employee who's name tag read Xander.

I thought for a moment and answered, "Mr. Fischer."
