A chill runs down your spine as you stand frozen in terror. The scream escapes your lips, reverberating through the cold, damp walls of the sewer. Your eyes widen, fixated on the haunting sight before you.

There, suspended in the dim light, is a noose swaying ominously. It clings to the collar of a shirt, defying gravity in a macabre dance. The clothes hang in empty space, as if waiting for a body that is nowhere to be found.

Riki swiftly turns you, pulling you close to his chest, shielding your gaze from the disturbing scene. You bury your face against him, desperately trying to erase the image etched into your mind. The touch of his steady presence offers a sliver of solace amidst the horror.

Jungwon, seemingly unfazed by the unsettling sight, takes a step forward, curiosity laced in his voice. 'What the hell happened here?' he asks, his tone a blend of intrigue and detachment.

Riki, his voice lowered to a hushed whisper, trains his flashlight on the hanging clothes. 'It's Sunoo's, isn't it? I recognise that shirt,' he murmurs, his words tinged with disbelief.

You remain nestled against Riki's chest, still trembling from the shock.

'What the fuck,' you cry out, your voice laced with disbelief and horror. The image seems to sear itself into your consciousness, refusing to let go.

Sensing your distress, Riki murmurs in a gentle voice, his grip firm yet comforting as he pulls you away from the disturbing sight. 'Come on,' he urges, guiding you forward with your head lowered. 'It's probably just some stupid fucking prank.'

Behind you, Jungwon's snickers fill the air, a mix of amusement and unsettling curiosity. It sends a shiver down your spine, as if a cold breath brushes against your neck. His laughter carries an unfamiliar edge, a haunting quality that makes you question the source of his amusement.

As you lift your gaze, something catches your attention in the periphery of your vision. Your body tenses involuntarily, and Riki notices your reaction, his concerned eyes meeting yours.

'Hey, are you alright?' he asks, his voice filled with genuine worry.

'I. . .' you trail off, your eyes fixated on the spot where you thought you saw movement. Yet, you shake your head, trying to dismiss it as a figment of your imagination. 'Probably just a rat.'

Jungwon's voice cuts through the air, admitting a truth that sends shivers down your spine. 'I don't think we're alone down here,' he confesses, the weight of his words sinking in. 'If someone put Sunoo's clothes like that. . .'

The realisation crashes over you like a wave, threatening to drown you in the depths of fear and uncertainty. You struggle to catch your breath, your lungs constricting as panic takes hold. Each gasp for air feels like a desperate battle against suffocation, your chest tightening painfully as if invisible hands squeeze your ribs together.

Jungwon, ever perceptive, takes notice of your distress. He swiftly grabs hold of your cheeks, forcing your eyes to meet his.

And in that moment, as your eyes flicker open after a blink, you catch a glimpse of something deeply unsettling. Jungwon's face contorts, his features warping into an unknown and horrifying visage. The cloth-like substance, like a macabre second skin, melds seamlessly with his flesh, obscuring his eyes entirely.

A malicious grin spreads across his transformed face, a twisted smirk that seems to defy reason and sanity. It stretches unnaturally, revealing a row of razor-sharp teeth that glimmer in the dim light of the sewer. Shadows dance upon his transformed countenance, adding an extra layer of eeriness to his presence.

The absence of his eyes, concealed by the fabric, sends a chill down your spine. The cloth appears to be a part of him, as if it has become an extension of his being, shrouding his gaze in an impenetrable darkness. The very essence of Jungwon seems altered, his familiar features distorted into something otherworldly and malevolent.

Your heart pounds in your chest, and you recoil instinctively, the sight etched into your mind. It feels wrong, so profoundly wrong, as if you have caught a glimpse of a forbidden realm lurking just beneath the surface of reality. But as you blink again, disoriented and bewildered, Jungwon's appearance reverts to normal, as if nothing had happened.

'What's wrong?' Jungwon asks innocently, his voice an unsettling contrast to his unsettling appearance. His hand lingers in the air, as if suspended between two worlds, unsure of its purpose.

'Easy, easy now,' Riki whispers, his voice a soothing anchor amidst the encroaching darkness. 'It's just us. Just us three. Alright?'

Riki guides you to lean against the cold, damp wall, providing support as you slide down, your trembling body finding temporary respite from the haunting presence of your friend. He crouches down in front of you, his gaze filled with concern and determination to protect you from the unknown.

You sniffle and look down at the ground. 'I want to go home.'

A small sigh brushes past Riki's lips. 'But we've found proof that Sunoo is here. . .'

'Then we can call the police or something,' you argue.

Before Riki can respond, your gaze shifts towards Jungwon, and a shiver runs down your spine. There's something in his eyes, something unfamiliar and unsettling, as if a darkness has taken hold. His lips curl into a wide grin, revealing a row of sharp teeth, and he places a finger against his lips in a hushed gesture. Panic surges within you, and you instinctively understand that revealing this to Riki could have dire consequences.

But in the corner of your eye, you catch a glimpse of movement. Behind Jungwon, barely perceptible in the shadows, a shadow mirrors his gesture, its twisted grin mirroring his own.

Riki notices your unsettled gaze and wraps his arms around you, drawing you close. 'Hey, it's okay. We're in this together,' he whispers, his voice a soothing balm against your fears. His comforting presence reassures you, and you cling to him, momentarily finding solace amidst the encroaching darkness.

As the fear lingers in your heart, Jungwon's demeanour suddenly shifts back to his normal self. He walks over to the other side and sits down beside you, concern etched on his face. 'Yeah, it's going to be alright,' he says, his voice gentle and reassuring. 'We'll figure this out together.'

But despite his comforting words, you find yourself instinctively curling into Riki's embrace, seeking refuge in his presence. Riki holds you tighter, his protective arms enveloping you. His unwavering support offers a sense of security that you desperately need in this uncertain moment.

Jungwon watches the two of you, his expression a mix of understanding and concern. 'I'm sorry if I scared you,' he says softly, his voice tinged with remorse. 'I don't know what came over me. It must be the stress and fear getting to me.'
