Weird Beginnings

It was a normal day at the thousand Sunny's ship. Sanji is cooking the next big meal for the Straw hats while making fancy fruity drinks and adorable desserts for the ladies while they sunbathe and chat. Franky and Ussop are fixing the broken deck caused by Luffy's bad aim with his goma goma slingshot. In the music room Brook is rockin-rollin with Chopper fan-grilling over his awesome electric guitar he just bought.

Then there is Zoro working out in the crows nest sweating and getting fit with no one to disturb him just like he usually does. The way he likes it.

But, where was Luffy? The captain? Mr.Fridge smuggler? Ruckus maker?
He was on his way to Zoro to give him his next task as his right-hand man.

"Oiiiiiiiii Zorrooooooo!!!" "It's time to eaaaat" Luffy blasts through the door to see Zoro wiping off his sweat.

"Heyyy Zooorrrooo, you're done with your workout" luffy comments.

"Oi Luffy" Zoro replies as he was caught off guard. He was not expecting his captain to come all the way to the crow's nest just to call him for lunch.

"LETS GOO EAAT. CAPTAIN'S ORDERS!" Luffy smiles as he gets excited for the food Sanji made while having some drool on the corners of his mouth.

"I'll be there in a minute captain, let me freshen up a bit," Zoro says just to see if Luffy would leave, but...

"You're so strong Zoro, keep up the good work", Luffy says as he waits for Zoro so they can go join the others.

Zoro gets weirdly uncomfortable as Luffy stands there looking at him not leaving as if he was waiting for him to eat. Then this weird tension between the two of them came out of nowhere.

It was just Luffy, but Since when has Luffy waited for someone over food?

As Zoro puts on his fresh clothes Luffy looks around the room tinkering with his dumbbells and tries to balance one on his head.

"OII LUFFY stop screwing around, Let's go then" Zoro says to make luffy stop.

Luffy's smile and eyes passionately grow as he shouts "FOOOOOD" "MEEAT".

Luffy moans like he usually does while melting into the ground imagining Sanji's food.

Zoro and Luffy finally leave the room to reunite LUFFY with his beloved food.

Everyone's at the dining table. Luffy is already munching a whole plate of meat. Of course, Sanji was fully prepared for Luffy's ever-ending stomach.
All you could see was Luffy and the others fighting over food, arms going here and there, Brook singing a melody, and everyone laughing and having a good time. It was almost never about the food. Of course, they were hungry and ate, but the time together as a group was Luffy's favorite thing about having his crew. His crew is the most important thing in Luffy's heart. He would do anything to protect them, just as they would do the same for him.

During lunch, everyone was enjoying the food except Zoro. Usually, he would criticize Sanji and his "terrible" food after devouring it without pause, but his mind was somewhere else, barely touching his food.

He was thinking about Luffy again and how he was waiting for him. It was no big deal. Luffy was just being a nice captain as he would've done the same to any crewmate in this ship.

He didn't give it any more meaning and decided to finally eat his food, but once he looked at his plate he realized the no. 1 rule about eating at the table: Never leave your food unattended or else in a second Luffy would try to snatch it before your eyes. Zoro had been spaced off enough to let his guard down.

"OIII LUFFY, GIMME MY FOOD BACK" Zoro complained while Luffy was already swallowing Zoro's plate.

Luffy laughed as he unapologetically apologized to Zoro. "HEHEEH, Sorry Zoro, it's just that your's was calling me" Luffy says, still being hypnotized over Zoro's plate he had just eaten even though everyone had the same plate.
