There wasn't a single person in the West Valley who didn't know the horrors that lurked behind the walls of the Javeunilla house.

Okay, I guess that was a bit of an exaggeration.

Obviously, not everyone knew, but enough did to the point where whispers would start whenever the family was sighted in public.

After the son of the family overdosed, their business was pretty much broadcasted over the entire city. Alot of people sympathized with the family, especially their buoyant daughter, Jayden. A tragic event like that can change a person, and in some cases not for the better, but not Jayden.

She somehow remained her normal, nice, and friendly self in the midst of all the chaos. Some people envied her for that— the fact that she could remain so sanguine after what she had been through, while others criticized her out of spite.

When the new kid rolled into town, he learned fairly quick about the tales that surrounded the serene sister-not that he had a choice in a talkative town like San Fernando. But unlike most people, that wasn't what made him take interest in her. Neither was it her amiable aura. It was the fact that he saw more to her than the drama that surrounded her, oh-so-famous name. She was like a book he had never read before, and he was determined to read every single page.

No matter how often she left him on edge of his seat.

This fic has been in my drafts for a while (along with many others), and I've revamped it constantly because I've struggled with the prolonge, but now I'm just saying fuck it, we ball because I need to get this fic out since it's one of my main fixations. If you've followed me or have seen some of my content, you might remember that I used to have two other Miguel fics out, but I unpublished and deleted them, unfortunately. Though it was very much needed because they were horribly written, they definitely had a lot of potential. But until I rewrite those in the very far future this is what we got right now. Anyway, I hope to get a good number of chapters of this fic out before Cobra Kai season 6 hits, especially because it's coming out in three parts. But anyways, I'm done yapping LMFAO 😜😜.
