The Fan Art Exhibition - guidelines

The Fan Art Exhibition aims to celebrate all the amazing fan artistic prowess we have in the community in one big showcase! After all, nothing screams I'm a lover of xx like a fan-bolous piece of art!

How to participate?

Participating is easy-peasy! All you have to do is unleash your inner artist and pay homage to your favorite fandom(s) through the mesmerizing medium of fanart. Whether you're a skilled illustrator, a digital wizard, or a doodle enthusiast, this is your time to shine and run wild!

The Fan Art Exhibition is open to fans of all ages, backgrounds, and artistic styles. We believe that every stroke of the brush, every click of the mouse, and every burst of color holds the power to transport us into the worlds we adore. So, whether you're a fan of enchanting fantasy realms, gripping sci-fi sagas, heartwarming romances, or thrilling action-packed adventures, we welcome you with open arms.

To have your fanart showcased in the exhibition, check out the guidelines below!

Guidelines/rules are as follows:

-+ Your art should be considered fanart and pay homage to a fandom. What general theme/design you do is up to you.

-+ You are free to choose any and all colors.

-+ You're welcome to add any texts.

-+ Please, no collaborative work.

-+ You can enter as many fanarts as you want, but only a maximum of two of your fanarts will be shown.

-+ Feel free to publish your fanart in an anthology or as a standalone, though, you will have to share the fanart in the submission form through imgur.com

-+ If you're fanart is chosen to be showcased, please note you'll be asked to share your fanart with us to be featured in our Fandom Family Festival Anthology.

-+ All fanart must be original and the media used must be free from copyright. We cannot add copyrighted material to our anthology.

-+ Please note that images need to be in png, jpg, or jpeg format, and be under 10MB.

-+ Your Wattpad username and date of creation must be visible on your fanart.

-+ Your fanart must follow the Content Guidelines outlined by Wattpad.

-+ Your entry must be newly created for this exhibition and submitted through this FORM 

Help regarding visual copyright

Creative Commons (CC): Any and all visuals (images/designs) must be free from copyright violations, meaning you must have permission to use them if you haven't created them yourself. CC is a license that identifies images open for public use and that are royalty-free.

You can find more websites like the above linked HERE. Should it be needed, just use one of these websites, and you will be perfectly fine and within the law.

Schedule and Prizes

The Fan Art Exhibition submission form will open on the 1st of August, 2023, and will run through the entire festival. The deadline for participation is 31st of August, 2023, 23:59 PM EST, aka. at the end of the festival. Any entry submitted after this time will not be considered.

Artists whose fanart is chosen will receive the following:

-+ The chosen entries will be added to the Fandom Family Festival Anthology for showcasing which will be published on the
  @WattpadAnthologies  and @MediaDirectory profiles.

-+ The chosen entries will receive shout-outs to the followers of every participating profile!

-+ The chosen entries will also receive special stickers as a reward for their great fanart.
