Life. We almost always take it for granted. We don't treat it like it is the most important thing on our world. Whether it's human, animal, or a plants life. My name is Dean Wells, and I firmly believe that life is important. Well, most of it at least. I'm a junior in a crappy high school that is popularity driven and I'm not in one of the popular groups. In fact, I am in one of the least popular groups of people.

All I know is that one moment, I am standing up at my locker, the next, gravity is pulling my face towards the floor. "Watch where you are looking, Wells. Maybe you should put your glasses on nerd." The only person not laughing is the guy who owns the locker next to mine. I make a quick reply, "You know, I would, but I left my glasses in your girls bed last night." Next thing I know, I am walking to class with a splitting headache and a black-eye.

Later that day, after I got home, I started making dinner. While the food was cooking, I decided to go look at the meteor rock that I kept, as a reminder of my life before it fell. As I stared at the rock, I began to remember all of the memories I have of my parents, before their deaths three years ago. They were killed in a freak accident caused by this meteor slamming into the car they were in. Mom died immediately, and dad died in the emergency room. I don't really know why I asked if i could keep the damn meteorite, but I just did, closure maybe?

I snapped back to reality only to find that the food was ready to be eaten, and my hand inches away from the rock. I then proceed to turn and begin walking out the room.
