You don't know me

Prologue

3 Months Ago                                                                                                                                                                          3rd Person/Marinette  P.O.V

"Marinette, you're gonna be late!"

"ugh Just 5 more minutes Tikki"

 "But Marinette, school starts in 10 minutes!"

Suddenly, Marinette shot right up out of her bed, running to the bathroom to brush her teeth. "10 MINUTES shoot I'm gonna be late!" She dashed around her room, quickly putting on her school clothes, changing into her usual pink jeans, grey jacket and white shirt. In her rush, she didn't notice Tikki giggling in her purse. As she was leaving the Bakery, she kissed her parents goodbye and ran across the street with a croissant in her mouth. Then she realised that Tikki lied to her, and that school didn't start for another 20 minutes. As she was about to scold her kwami,  Alya popped up in front of her.

"Hi Alya!"

 Then she realised something was wrong. Instead of Alya greeting her the way she normally would, she just ran up to her and began yelling at her.

"Don't you 'Hi Alya' me! I know what you did to Lila and I can't believe you would stoop so low. I didn't know you were jealous enough to beat her up!" 

 Whilst she was yelling at her, Marinette was staring at Alya with a bewildered face, completely confused until Alya said the name Lila. So she really did lie to my friends. Well I've been here for longer, they'll have to believe me over the new kid.

"Alya, you have to believe me when I say that Lila is lying!  I would never beat anyone up! And besides, you know I'm against all forms of violence, and you've known me for longer. Do you really think I would do such a thing?" She pleaded, hoping Alya would see through the lies. She wanted to be a journalist for God's sake, and for that you'd always look at all the evidence!   But Alya just ignored her, walking into school as the bell rang. Marinette felt her heart break as she realised that her best friend believed the liar over her.                   

As she walked into the  classroom, Marinette noticed that everyone was surrounding Lila in a giant bubble, acting like her minions whilst glaring at her from afar. That was the moment when Marinette realised that all her friends believed Lila over her.                                                                              Blinking back her tears, Marinette went to sit in her usual spot, but was suddenly pushed by Alya, who has claimed the seat for Lila. The same thing happened when she tried to sit everywhere else, so in the end she had to sit alone at the very back of the class, which was so far from the front that she couldn't even see the board. 

Then Miss Bustier came into the class, beginning the school day as she began with the register.

"Alya?" 

"Present" 

"Marinette?"

Meanwhile, Marinette still couldn't believe all her friends abandoned her for that lying son of a b..aker. Lying son of a baker. I  guess this just proves they were fake friends, judging by how quickly they believed her over me.

"Marinette?"

Even Alya, the one who promised she'd stick by my side, went over to Lila. They're all like a pair of mindless sheep, and Lila's the sheepdog.

"MARINETTE"

 "Oh uh sorry miss I'm present" muttered Marinette to Miss Bustier, Whilst the whole class was howling with laughter, chatting about how deaf she is. 

Marinette was hoping things would get better at lunch, because although Alya may have gone against her, maybe Adrien and Nino were still on her side. As she lined up in the lunch queue, she heard Lila's whiny voice lying with every breath.

"Oh, Kim, that's so sweet of you to get me my lunch, because of my arthritis."

"Aw Rose, you really didn't have to get me the seat next to the window because of my tinnitus." 

With each lie Marinette could feel her anger boiling over until she heard a lie that finally made her snap.

"Alya, thank you so much for believing me about Marinette, I'm so glad you saved me from her cruel bullying. I don't even know why she bullies me, I tried to be nice but-" she said hiccoughing. 

Marinette moved so abruptly she almost crashed into Adrien, who she didn't notice was in front of her. Right, that's it, she can lie about the others but she sure as heck won't be lying about me.

"You're gonna expose her aren't you?" Adrien said to Marinette quietly.

"Of course I am, she's lying about me and I don't put up with liars." Marinette said fuming.

"Well, Marinette, she's only doing it because she needs friends. I think you should be the mature one and take the high road, it's not like her lies are hurting anyone." As Adrien said these words to Marinette, he couldn't hear his kwami Plagg gasp in surprise and shame.

Marinette felt her heart break for the second time that day. She couldn't believe her crush, the love of her life, would say something so hurtful to her.

As she ran into the bathroom, sobbing her heart out, she heard Lila muttering a fake excuse to go follow her, refusing Alya's 'protection' from Marinette.

"I warned you, I gave you a chance to join me and you foolishly chose the wrong side. From now on, I'm gonna make you life a living hell. And no one's going to save you this time." Then with a victorious smile, and a hair flip, she left the bathroom, leaving a sobbing marinette all alone.

Not knowing Chloe was in the bathroom the whole time.

I know arthritis and tinnitus are real diseases and i apologise and hope you dont take any offence with me usng the terms in this way
