A few hours later when the sun had set and the night light soon became full with people wanting to have a good night. Upon the base of the hill, was a carnival tent with hay bays that look to be set up as benches and make shift play structures and a few other stalls for different merchants. People were piling into the tent to watch what spectacle might occur tonight. A poster detailing all the acts to perform and a familiar set of eye tattoos centering the poster.
Seer was with Beth watching these crowds of people go in. Observing,
"Are you sure these people won't recognize you?"
Beth asked, watching the crowd."Nope because all my performances I do is wearing a mask and hood. So I can go about my... discretions without people knowing. The tattoos are only a new thing, within the past year. And no one looks at my hands long enough to recognise me."
Seer said in an expressionless tone."Is the person you're looking for here yet?"
Beth asked impatiently.Seer looked around and then spotted someone,
"Not a vampire."
They started walking towards the crowd,
"Jenny! Jenny!"
They called out to a familiar young lady. She turned at her name being called, Genevieve, still wearing the same dress but with a white shawl over her shoulder to keep her warm in the cold,
"Bells!"
She exclaimed running up to him, hugging them."Jenny! Ah! How are you doing, girl? Stayin' outta trouble I 'ope?"
They smiled, very happy to see her."You are one to talk you menace!"
She returned his happy look."Jen, I'd like you to meet an associate of mine. This is Beth. Beth, this is Genevieve."
Getting down to business."Already replacin' me? I'm 'urt Seas."
Slipping fully into her street accent and losing all of the teaching of Celine in dedication.Placing a hand over their heart in a dramatic fashion,
"Oh Jenny I could 'ever replace you! You'll always be my partner in crime. Don't even let that thought cross your 'ead.""Oh 'ay, yea, 'other lass comes along and you're 'ready to drop me."
She teased. They shook their head and smiled at her, took a deep breath and got back on track,
"'ere have you seen Celine?""Not a social call 'en?"
She asked."I'm sorry, Ginny. Not t'day."
They answered."She 'as over by t' 'aybays 'ith 'her new... friend."
She said all mysteries."Oh! Who might tis' be?"
Intrigued."He's called Sylas and he's new to the area."
She said with more intrigued but it was clear there was an undone joke with it."She's foun' a man? Nah! I don't believe it(!)"
They said with sarcasm."Ok but it's 'rue."
She smirked."I'll 'hat to you soon, Gem."
They kiss the top of her head and make their way to go find Celine, Beth followed confused on what was happening. Approaching Celine whilst she was talking to someone,
"How shall the world view a monster? In the crimson hue of blood, that, in fact, connects all mortal beings to the world of their own making."
Speaking Shakespearean.Celine turned around to face them,
"That flesh consumes the mortal mind and to run the river of it's sin. In hopes of finding the honest power."
She smiled at them,
"Hello my dear.""Hell my dear Celine. Very nice to see you again."
Seer had a welcoming smile on their face, more polite tones as they spoke to her."You only saw me four days ago."
She joked."Am I not allowed to miss such a prestigious company?"
They remarked back to her."Yes, especially when it comes to my company."
She smiled,
"What pleasure do we have of you being outside of the tent and not preparing?""We need a quick word with you. In private."
Being discreet.Celine nodded, she turned to her friend, he nodded and went away into the crowd, turning to face them both again,
"Yes?""Celine this is Beth. Beth, this is Celine. The vampire I was telling you about."
They introduced them both, Beth had this look of awe and shock on her face."Hello, young one. It's a pleasure to meet you?"
She extended a hand for Beth to shake."You didn't say she was British!"
Beth exclaimed in shock."You didn't ask!"
They said in"She's a British vampire!"
Continuing in the shock tone.Seer looked at her in confusion,
"Well done for pointing out the obvious, want a medal? I'm sorry Miss Celine for my... acquaintances behaviour.""She's a fucking six foot two, two hundred and one year old, British vampire that deals in crime!"
Her eyes went wider by the minute in disbelief."I also deal in good manners my dear."
Celine calmly said. Seer tried desperately to try and hide their laughter.Beth snapped out of it,
"She has your attitude, so if anyone was having doubt you were both English then she's just proven it with the attitude.""Only cultural difference is I'm from Leeds, she's from further down south."
They pointed out."Either way, what can I do to help?"
Celine butted in."Ok, um, Miss... Celine, we are looking for someone."
Beth was trying to regain her composure."My brother."
Claire's voice came from behind Beth and Seer.Celine looked at Claire,
"Well my dear, this certainly had gotten interesting."Seer looked at Claire,
"What happened to waiting in the crowd?"Claire not looking at Seer,
"All due respect, my brother. I don't get told what to do when it comes to him."Celine looked Claire and Beth down, examining their cloths, their tones,
"Pirates."
Looking at Seer,
"You know how I feel about pirates.""They attacked me because someone got all territorial and wanted to show off her dominance!"
Staring Beth down.
"Besides, they interest me."Celine looked Seer up and down,
"Alright. So I'm guessing your brother is a pirate and a magic type?"
Looking at Claire."Shifter descendants."
Claire looked her up and down, not fully sure what this vampire was about but intrigued all the same."What does he look like?"
Celine asked."Shaved head, scar on the right side of the head. Tattoo of the alchemy sign for water just behind his left ear."
Claire was giving clear details.Celine listened curiously to the description, Seers eyes shifted very slightly towards Celine at the mention of the description,
"Well, we have a problem."
Celine said in an unusual calm tone.Claire looked at her in surprise,
"Why?""Because a young man of that description is currently being held in one of my secure buildings."
Celine admitted.
