Amaya's P.O.V.

I can't believe that just happened.

I'm going on a date on Friday.

With Ezra Meyers. Ezra. Meyers.

I have to tell Amira.

I got home at 9:02 pm, and met my mom and dad sitting on the couch.

"Great." I whispered.

"What do you think you're doing coming back so late?" My dad asked.

"It's 9 o'clock." I said confused.

"What's your point? It's a school night, and you've been with your friends all day Amaya. You have homework." He said.

"I didn't have any homework today." I said sounding annoyed.

I looked at my mom confused.

She mouthed "Please don't.", but I didn't listen.

"If you knew anything about this house, you'd know my curfew on school days is 9:30, and 11 on weekends. If you actually stayed here with us, you might have known that." I said going up the stairs.

My dad was at a loss for words.

I met Amira at the top of the stairs waiting for me.

"What was that about?" She asked.

"He got mad at me for coming home late."

"But it's not even past your curfew." She said.

"I know. Anyways, follow me I have some news."

I filled her in on everything, and saved the best part for last.

"Remember the cute boy from The Gardens?" I asked.

"Yeah, the one with the amazing curls?"

"Yes, and remember how I kissed somebody at that party I went to?"

"Yeah."

"I knew he looked oddly familiar. They're the same person."

"Oh my gosh! That's crazy."

"I know. Help me pick out an outfit for Friday. I'm going on a date with him."

She screamed.

"Is everything okay up there?" My mom asked.

"Everything's fine." I said laughing.

"Shut up Amaya. You're lying."

I shook my head.

"I'm telling the truth. Today, he took me on a tour of the butterfly and tulip field. The hanging lights were on, and he gave me a piggy back through the whole entire tour."

She hit my shoulder.

"Stop it!! That is so cute. Have you told the girls?"
