TWs: Derealization, angst, crying, character death

================================================================================

You have to get to him.

You have to find him.

Charlie pushed his eyes open despite the heaviness in him. An unwanted weight rested on him. He crawled out of his hiding place. He had run from whatever the fuck that thing was. A monster with a TV for its head and wires circulating its body. He hid under the patient's bed in the surgery room. The monster passed through the room without giving Charlie a second glance. The place felt familiar, surely he had passed that room before with Ranboo.

Ranboo.

He had to find him. They had to be free.

He pulled himself up, ignoring the dizziness and the black spots in his vision as he arose.

So he walked, and it was slow. His arms were scraped up, blood rushed out of his skin and seeped into his shirt.

Charlie felt numb. He didn't feel the pain that he knew was there. None of it felt real.

There were no security guards anywhere in the entire mall. It was quiet. Eerily quiet. Too quiet. He walked through the EXIT sign that had been lit in the distance, guiding his path. There was blood everywhere. Scattered on the walls, puddles on the floor, and fingerprints on the door.

No.

No. Where-

Where was Ranboo? Where was the exit? Where was their freedom-

Charlie gasped. He let out a sob. His throat closed until he could barely breathe, the only noises coming out of him were wrenching cries. He needed to find the exit- he needed to find Ranboo- or- or Sneeg- where was his friend?

Charlie got up. He stopped himself from crying even more. There was no use. He noticed how the blood that had seeped into the lining of the floor made a pattern. A line. He limped his way to where the unsettling set of the cabin in the woods- the place where he felt so familiar with -connected with the empty mall. He followed the blood trail as it became lighter and lighter until he stumbled to his destination. The blood stopped and so did Charlie's heart.

Ranboo stood before him. Except it wasn't really him. He wore the same red and white jacket with a black t-shirt underneath, and the same jeans. They were crumpled to the floor, a black box shut around his head.

"Ranboo?" Charlie whispered. His voice echoed in the empty space. And then he noticed the blood.

Charlie had never experienced the feeling of it all before. Or maybe he had. The feeling of your chest ripping open, pouring your feelings and emotions onto the floor because it has nowhere else to go. He let out a gut wrenching sob. No. No- no, no. No. This wasn't happening- this wasn't real. It was all a part of Showfall's little show- right? It had to be.

"Ranboo?" He whimpered. The name fell off his tongue into the abyss of only himself.

"Get up! Get up Ranboo." Charlie pleaded. He ran to his friend's side. His hands- by the time he reached for his jacket, shaking Ranboo- were covered in the red substance.

"Get up bro- get up, get up, what are you doing? Come on- get up Ranboo!" Charlie tried and tried but he couldn't, urging his friend to move. The box around his head was the heaviest, the chains that bound his limp body to the wall refused to let go.

"Get up!" He screamed. Pounding his fists into Ranboo's chest.

A sad sight to see. Truly.

"Get off of him- get this off of him!" His body shook with grief. He yelled at the box that wouldn't move, his anger directed at the inanimate.

"No- no. No- Ranboo- come on, get up!" He was getting weaker with each hit.

"Come on man, this isn't- please- we need to go!" His energy drained. He couldn't move. Charlie slumped against his best friend, his lips moving but no words left. The heaviness in his eyes took over.

"That's a wrap! Thank you for watching ladies and gentlemen!"

Curtain close.
