Meeting the team

( in first person)

"Bye mum, I'll miss you." I say as I walk into the line for the plane making sure to look back a couple times to check on my mother. As soon as I sit down in my seat I place my headphones on and start to play music, before I know it we had landed I must have fallen asleep. When I got off of the plane I saw Don Tibblies talking with a few other teenagers it looks like 1 other girl and 5 boys, Don saw me and signaled for me to come over so we all could got grab our luggage.
"Hi I'm Julie, it's so nice to know that I won't be the only girl on the team." The other girl, Julie introduced herself "Hey I'm y/n, nice to meet you. So where do you play on the ice?." I respond trying to keep the conversation going and be friendly "Oh! I'm a goalie, what about you?." "Nice I have never meet a female goalie, I play in the forward position." I respond walking on to the bus as we had just grabbed our luggage.

"So introduce me to my new ducks?." Some dude said I'm guessing here's our coach. Don goes on introducing everyone one by one then he gets to dean and the team starts to fight about who is better and other random stuff i could not be bothered paying attention to as I just stand back and watch as I haven't been introduced yet. The coach was failing at getting them to stop so I took it into my own hands. " SHUT THE FUCK UP ." I yell getting everyone's attention with my accent showing that I'm from Australia. "And that is y/n, she has a bit of a temper but it works out well because she uses her anger for her speed and she is fast and can skate from blue line to blue line backwards in 1.8 seconds. She's also from Australia so watch your words around her." Don says introducing me to the group or as he calls them 'Ducks'.
"Hi, I'm Charlie Conway, I'm the captain it's nice to meet you." Charlie says trying to be friendly with me. I just respond with "Hey." Ignoring him for the most part.
