First love

I waited and waited for your love which pricked along with my hopes
I loved and gave you my soul and peace
I made you my priority
You became my sunshine in the darkness
You became my joy in  loneliness
I loved you in silence and from afar
You were the shining star next to my heart
You were the rose that bloomed to blossom my heart
You made my heart sing million songs just for you
Your eyes made my stomach to feel uncontrollable butterflies playing

But what I didn't know is that I'll never be a priority to you
That you would make my heart to scream and tear into million pieces
That you would crumble my world into an ending
I patiently believed your million lies
That you would be my forever
What I didn't know is that, you brought roses full of thorns just to take my heart to the ground

What breaks me more is that I've learnt to love and cherish you wholeheartedly
How do I let go a piece of me or my better half in life
Tell me, how do I mend the broken heart from it's first love

I want to let you go, so I can be free and free you from this cage
But deep down it's so painful
And it's not easy but I guess it's for the best
Always will be my first in everything
