Riiiiing! Riiiiing! Riiiiing! A hand slammed down onto the off button of her alarm clock. The time was 5:15 in the morning. Her eyelids opening slowly as she pushes her blankets off of her. The girl walks over to the mirror on her door and looks at herself. She then shrugs and goes to her closet to pick out her clothes for the day.
"I haven't worn this shirt in a while..." She trails off and pulls it from the rack, walking over to her dresser for2 a pair of skinny jeans. She also grabs her underwear and walks to her families bathroom to take a shower before school. She turns the water on and places her new clothing onto the counter, taking her sleepwear off and gets into the warm water.
After her shower she gets dressed into her clothing, a plain red shirt and a pair of skinny jeans. She looks at herself in the mirror as she hears her mother yell to her, "Jessa! I made your lunch for you! I also put some homemade cookies into it from your grandma!"
"Thank you, mom." Jessa walks back to her dresser grabbing makeup and a mini mirror. She sits on her bed and quickly applies her makeup. She then combs through her blonde hair and smiles at herself. "Done." She sighs.
After getting ready she runs down the stairs and grabs the lunch that her mother made for her and her school backpack, putting on a pair of black converse. She puts earbuds in and walks to the bus stop for just another ordinary day of school.
At school Jessa went to her own locker and put her bag into the locker. A short girl with brown hair walked over to her, bubbling with excitement. "Jessa! I haven't seen you in almost forever!" The girl latched onto Jessa and hugged her tightly.
"It's only been since last night, Vivian." She sighs, patting her shorter friends back. She slams her locker shut and tries to pull herself away from the grasp of her friend.
"Well... yeah, but it just seems like forever!" Violet whines and lets go of Jessa. "A few hours feels like an eternity to me!" She grabs a breakfast bar from her backpack and begins to gnaw on it. "This is really good! Do you want to try some?" She said, mouth filled to the brim with oats and chocolate from the bar, thrusting the bar into Jessa's face.
"Uh... no, not really..." Jessa pushes away the breakfast bar with her hand and sighs, "You're disgusting, Violet."
"No, I'm not! You just don't have the guts to be like me! I know you're trying to impress guys, but it'll totally impress them more if you act like one!" Violet laughs and starts to cough up chewed up breakfast bar bits. "Jessa, you need to be able to handle a man for the rest of your life, so why not just act like one? They might even treat you better!" She smiles and swallows the bar.
"Go ahead and try that, but I'm going to stick to what I'm doing." Jessa sighs and walks into the classroom, Violet trailing behind her. She sets down her stuff on a desk and turns to her friend. "I don't really think the guy that I'm interested in would really appreciate my actions if I were to act like that."
"What if he did?" Violet smirks and thinks of a plan to get Jessa and this mysterious boy together. All she needed was to find out who Jessa likes. "Jess! You should tell me who you like because I'm your one and only best friend!" She crosses her arms and looks at the taller blonde.
"Violet, don't call me Jess! You know that I don't like it and I don't even know if he likes me, so why would I want your big mouth blabbering about it! I know you'd tell anyone who crosses your path!" If she were a cartoon character there'd be steam coming out of her ears as she yelled at Violet. "I'll tell you later, but not now." She looked around the room, whispering to Violet, "There's too many people around, but you have to promise not to tell anyone and I don't even know what I'll do if you tell anyone!" She sighs and sits at her desk, pulling out a pencil to finish up her math homework.
Riiiing! The final bell rung indicating that class has begun and with another beep of the intercom with the daily announcements."Great job to the Varsity Tennis players for winning their match at Forest Lake High School! Good luck to the Ravens at the next meet! Yearbooks are going to be on sale at the beginning of the third trimester, so save up your money! They cost eighty dollars and you can buy them either online or in the main office. As a reminder please don't use phones in class, because we've had numerous teachers bring in students cellphones in trimester one. Thank you and have a marvelous Monday!" The announcements ended and the teacher began to teach her lesson.
"Marvelous..." Jessa whispered and opened her textbook to page 268. "Ugh more Geometry..." She sighs getting a note book and her pencil to write her notes. It seemed like a normal day so far, but unknown to Jessa, someone had been watching her for the last few months and finally decided to strike.
