Sumeru. Simply put, a mixture between the margin of beauty and danger. There laid the blistering hot weather within the crimson desert and the wild forests. Venture a little further and you would find yourself in Sumeru City. A popular area which bore an amazing view and its own theatre. If anything, the only reason you'd go there was to see Nilou and her delicacy. When she would begin dancing against the backdrop of the lights and music, Nilou's graceful demeanor would resemble that of an unsullied lotus flower, her delicate dance leading the audience into a world of fantasy.
When the performance came to an end, the audience was brought back to reality, often in a trance. Bursts of praises for Nilou's dancing would resonate within the theatre walls and reflect towards Sumeru's beautiful sky.
Everyone knew her as an idol and a very, humble individual. However, those close to Nilou would know that she had something in her so different from the overwhelmingly glamorous image she portrayed on stage. Once Nilou stepped off the stage, she'd be like any girl her age: sweet, warm, and youthful. If you meet Nilou off-stage, don't be intimidated. Say hello to her, and she'd be very happy about it.
At the day after her last performance, she had some free time to burn. Nilou adored the idea of exploring and she was also very skilled in combat so she chose to venture on her own and decided to go on a trip into the woods.
While she was at it, she slayed many slimes and Hilichurls along the way until she came to a halt as she stumbled across a giant tree. The tree seemed to be spiritual, based on how it looked when Nilou stared it.
Looking more intently, the red-haired adventurer noticed a tree house in the middle of it and found out that there was also a pond next to it. It looked rather safe, and therefore, Nilou's curiousity trait had consciously pushed her off course for the time being and decided to rest a bit, partly because she was parched as well. Nilou approached the pond, teetering across the rocky terrain like an unknown traveller who was desperate for water and knelt before the pond to begin rehydrating herself.
"u-uhm... what's this!" She was going to drink it, but her blue eyes bulged in response to a foreign, disgusting and sour, stomach churning smell that slowly crept up into Nilou's nostrils and forced her to gag.
Fortunately, Nilou had only decided to come here for a minor rehydration session because she could. But really, Nilou wasn't that thirsty. As a result, she was only a little bit annoyed that she'd not be able to drink anything in the end.
She let off a little, repulsive cough while also covering her mouth and nose with her arm and backed away from the pond only for her to trip backwards over a vine which resulted in her falling and flattening a dozen of flowers.
"OW!" Nilou, visibly hurt, she rubbed her back to attempt mitigating the pain. A few seconds, she realized the destruction she had caused. Nilou had just crushed a huge number of innocent flowers.
Immediately after what Nilou thought was a disgraceful action, a staircase formed with those vines she found from the entrance of that tree house. It was like magic, those vines built its way down with the sounds of wood breaking, cracking and snapping. It felt like it was...
enraged...
With the final vine contorted into the floor to create a strong foundation, Nilou traced her eyes from the down-up and found herself staring at a white-haired, barefoot and short girl on top of the staircase.
The girl's gaze was cold. Nilou's skin could just feel her wrath burning upon it like a brand. The girl slowly made her way down while each step of vine felt her feet pressing against them, as if thanking her for her meticulous treatment of each, soft step.
Upon arriving in front of Nilou with a viseral reaction of anger, she began talking, still keeping her gaze down at Nilou who was sat down over those crushed flowers. "How dare you... How DARE you hurt my forest?!"
